Sunny Arizona...

Benjamin and I had a great day. I walked him to school this morning and I took him spaghetti for lunch. We made an executive decision that he would come home with me at 1. so that is what we did. He was missing several assignments that he had not turned in. We rounded them all up....at least I think, It was a little confusing... and have them all done and ready to turn in tomorrow.

Benjamin's hair has turned really dark....and after a trip to Sally's Beauty supply, and an hour of Missy's time, mine has too...

Tomorrow is Benjamin's Birthday. He will be 10. We have a party planned for school. Then a family party at Missy's house.

Only been here a day but I have done several things and saw several old friends.  I am making a cake but I do not have any of the stuff yet. I do not have any transportation till Missy gets off work. But she will be  home Tomorrow so I could go in the morning.

Missy will  be home soon.

One more day...

and I am out of here...Fleta and George plus the kids are hauling me to Springfield and kicking me out at the airport......Then they have a big day planned. I will be in sunny AZ at 1:30...we will go home and watch the Super Bowl. I hope Missy has good food.LOL


I get on the computer and pre sign in in 1 hour. I never pay for a special seat. I just sit where ever.  I noticed on Thursday we will have mid 80's. just think......


I have everything done here almost...This morning I cleaned the ceiling fans. I cleaned out the frig and sent a few thin gs home with Hannah. She stayed last night with me. her and the other 2 girls came up last night and helped me finish my valentines for church.


I cleaned the Church yesterday AM. They will miss me cleaning...LOL  I did extra yesterday. I scrubbed the baby high chairs and waxed all of the cabinets and wooden doors. Plus cleaned off the top of the cabinets.


Benjamin celebrated his birthday yesterday with his school pals. Missy threw him a big party. We will have a class party and a family party Tuesday, on his real Birthday. he is anxious for me to get there. I am ready to see all of the kids too. It will be nice.

It is getting so close...

to warm weather for me! Just 2 more days and I will be soaking up sunshine.


I saw this morning Kristina's Sea Hawks are all ready in AZ practicing. Kris is really rooting for them so I guess I will have to also. Personally I think both teams lack morals! This makes it hard to really root for either team. I will be in AZ and watch it on the tube.


I went to Jr's today and did a load of wash for me and 3 for him. I also burned 2 bags of trash and cleaned his kitchen. Just one last time before I hit the road. Emmy need some food this morning and a ride to school. I did both....oh yes...on JR's Gas and JR's card for the groceries. Don't want anyone thinking I am to nice.


I put plastic over the kitchen back porch door today and blocked the air from the kitchen to the Booger-Boo bedroom. I have put up a quilt over the kitchen door way to the living room ...and cleaned all of the floors. One last time. I  have the heaters all set for Fleta to plug in.  Plus I will leave the cabinet doors open under the sinks. I wrote out 2 checks and gave to Fleta to pay the water bill for the next 2 months....It's nice to have a sister...Actually it's nice to still have two sisters. Greg is going to take my battery out of my car for me. I can do it if he does not make it up here...It will just take me 3 times longer than him. I have card board on the kitchen floor to set it on. Bill told me not to set it on the cement back porch...Good tip.


It's almost 3 and I have not seen Fleta come home yet. I wonder if she got lost...


Greg and George has made a really good goat shelter out of Floyd's old shed. I am impressed with how good it looks..Now Fleta is going to hit them up to add a lean to on it...It will require very little in materials but really make twice the room for them to get out of the rain. You know, Bertha may not let any of them come into the shed...If the notion strikes her.
Can't wait to see those Grand Kids..

Hump day.....

only 4 days and I will be sitting in the Springfield airport right now.....yeah...I am ready to be gone to warmer weather for awhile...Althow the past few days have been nice.


I will be taking the kids to church tonight. Emie and Sam will be going also.


I am picking Emie up after school because I need to go to Walmart today. I am getting a packpack for the trip.


It was a pretty day yesterday. Betty worked in the garden. I am not sure when Fleta will plant her early garden. Hopefully I will reap the rewards from it! LOL

A Beautiful Day...

supposed to hit mid 50's. I have not had my heat on in 2 days now. This weather is not warm but could be so much worse...I am thankful. god is good today!


I woke up at 4:30 and my back was hurting...Bad... I limped around till 8;30 and ran a hot bath. I have been plagued with back problems for years but it had not really hurt in months. It took awhile for me to think of taking a hot bath. Some times I am   s l o w   To think of things. Anyhoo I feel so much better.


I am leaving on Sunday and I have not done a thing to get ready for it.  I need to go to Walmart and pick up a back pack for my trip. I am traveling with no luggage but a Carry on back pack will hold a lot. I have clothes at both of the girls. So I should be pretty good on that.  I have to get the car ready. I need to pull the battery out and put it on the back porch since I will be gone 2 months. I also need to hang some plastic and quilts over the kitchen doors so Fleta will be able to keep the pipes from freezing. I also need to turn down the water heater. Plus I will have a load of dirty clothes that I do not want to let sit here 2 months. Wednesday night I take the kids to church so I do not want to take the car apart before then. But then I could drive Fleta's red rig I guess. I know she would not mind.


 I really need to clean the back porch. I have stuff just thrown back there. I think that would be a good project for today. It should be plenty warm back there.  I would hate for some of Fleta's bunch to need something back there and not be able to find it.


Betty it was 39 this morning outside and 59 in my house. As I said I have not had heat on in 2 days but I did use the oven last night.


I have been seeing deer all over the place. They are so pretty. When I drive to Coin Church in the evenings I always see some deer.


Yesterday Greg and George hooked up the trailer to the truck and drove around and picked up piles of wire and metal to haul off for scrap.  They probably did not get  much  for it even tho the trailer was 2/3 full. Wire does not weigh very much. JR always has some heavy scrap down at his house, old drill bits etc. I imagine they grabbed it also. Regardless. It is gone and not just laying in piles all over the place. They took about half of my scrap pile in the pasture below the house. It was a lot of wire Clayton had used for pens. The rest needs to be burned again.


Winnie Jo is heading to Florida for a few weeks. AHHH I'll bet it is nice there.


I leave Springfield at 11:30 the 1st. going to AZ. Then I leave AZ for WA on the 7th. I come back to AZ from WA on March 25th... I have not bought the ticket back to Springfield yet. I think I will stay in AZ 2 weeks.... Or there about...

Update...Got the back porch all cleaned. Things are organized now. I also went outside and cleaned up the yard. I picked through the burn trash can and dug out  2 sacks of burned tin cans. I hauled that plus other junt down to Fleta's in her kids red wagon. I returned the red wagon , tipping it so it will not fill up with water. I dumped the cans and junk in her dug hole. By taking cans down there George does not have to empty my burn barrel as often.
George got $80. for his load of burned wire. He did not take Jr's junk. So that was pretty good I thought.
There is a lady Frank Marr has had cleaning his house once a week for a few years. Darren let her move into Franks house last week.  The Lady needed a place to live. Sounded like a good deal to me. Sure beats leaving it empty and getting burned down.


I still have my borrowed dog. He needs to go home for the next 2 months and then come back for good. He is so pretty and very smart. He belongs to the family on the Stone place. They have 3 other dogs and no little kids. I don't guess anyone is missing him.


Fleta is making roast for supper. I went down there and added onions for her. I wonder if it will be good.
