It is cold as a well digger's butt

And I should know because I was married to one for years..

I am ready.

woke up, it's only 3:30 AM. It is 16 degrees outside. That is really cold. I got up and turned on all the water in the house, let it run at full force, and then turned it back down to a trickle. I did turn my propane heater on to the lowest setting, so there will be a little heat in the house besides the all burners I have in the kitchen to keep the sink warm and the one in the bathroom to keep under the sink warm in there periodically. Plus, I keep all of my plants in the bathroom to try to make them through the winter.

Fleet is supposed to go to work today. Normally, she will be leaving in about an hour. I don't know if she's going to go today or not. It rained a lot yesterday, so I imagine the roads are slick. If she does go, I hope she makes it just fine.

I'm already back in bed after tending to the water and the heat. My days do not consist of a lot of things to do. I did turn on the light and peek out the door outside, and there is no white stuff, but it sure is cold.

I could get up and fix a cup of coffee and cover up with my electric blankets. But I think I'll just lay here in bed and read a little on the computer.

It is so cold today. A pot of pinto beans and cornbread sounds pretty good. Plus, cooking the beans on the stove would help warm the house. Hopefully, I'll get up and do that before too long, but you can't ever tell.

I think I'll go out to the shed today. I have a large roll of plastic and will bring it into the house just in case I need to put it over the windows if the house gets too cold. The windows in the house are from 1947, so they are not well insulated, as you can imagine. The old house is really old, but considering its age, And since is the same age In comparison, it is in pretty good shape.

I'm gonna check and see if I can find some sort of picture to put on here It may have nothing to do with what.

 I've written about.
