Missy found this on the net last night. Tim Robbins said he did not want a throw away ballot, he wanted his vote to count.
NEW YORK (AP) Among the voters who had to endure very long waits at polling places today was actor Tim Robbins.
His name was missing from his usual polling station at a YMCA in Manhattan. Robbins, who refused to use a replacement paper ballot, had to eventually get a court order forcing officials at his polling place to allow him to vote.
Robbins, who lives with partner Susan Sarandon, has been registered to vote in New York since 1988. He said the incident seemed ``like a random thing,'' but that it shows how difficult it is to vote in the U.S.
