Down at Betty's, I'm having a wonderful time. I woke up early and had an easy trip there. I love driving my car. I brought some items to share with Betty, and she has things for me to take back home. It's like we're constantly trading back and forth.
For breakfast, we enjoyed cinnamon rolls, oatmeal cookies, and coffee. Lunch consisted of dressing and green beans. Later in the afternoon, Betty ordered pizza from Domino's, and it was delicious. I don't usually enjoy pizza, but this one hit the spot.
We spent time on the back porch, crocheting in the warm sunshine. It was a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience.
Betty and I frequently visit the local tractor supply store to purchase high-quality sunflower seeds for the birds. Unfortunately, the last few times I have bought them at Green Forest, the seeds have been mixed with unwanted debris. Fortunately, the store here always has a reliable supply of fresh, clean sunflower seeds, and I recently stocked up on 40 pounds to feed the feathered friends.
Regrettably, the squirrels have been quick to take advantage of the bird feed, and my old live trap is no longer functional. Luckily, my friend Eliseo has a new working trap, and I plan to borrow it to humanely relocate any unwanted squirrels.
In addition to our bird-feeding duties, Betty and I have spent much of the day engaged in our favorite hobby - crocheting. She has taught me a new pattern, and although I am still learning, I am enjoying the process and the chance to spend quality time with my dear Sister.
When I arrived in Russellville, I stopped by Walmart to pick up a few items, including some yarn. Unfortunately, I couldn't find everything I needed, so I'll likely order the remaining items from Amazon, as I often do.
I have a box of clothes from Laura Jean that I get to take home. I always enjoy her clothing selections, as she has such a great eye for soft, comfortable fabrics. There's a sundress in the box that's a bit small for me, but I think it would look lovely on my granddaughter Lex. I'll be sure to include it in one of the boxes I'm sending out soon.
Laura Jean also gave me a pair of UGG boots that appear to be in excellent condition. I can't recall the exact size, but I'm sure they'll fit one of the grandchildren nicely.
I'm running a bit late with my posting tonight, as I'm currently relaxing in Betty's guest bed. It's a very comfortable bed, with an electric blanket to keep my toes toasty warm.
I I may stay an extra day, despite my busy schedule. While I meant to empty the dishwasher, I forgot, but at least the dishes are clean. I ensured the house was secure before leaving, and I'm enjoying the mild weather, even if it's not a heat wave. Though my sisters and I are not particularly adventurous, I have a great photo to share.
The family is overjoyed by the upcoming wedding and the prospect of welcoming a new member. There is a sense of excitement and anticipation as the family looks forward to celebrating this special occasion together. The text conveys the warmth and joy shared by the family members, who are eagerly awaiting the arrival of my new niece and the opportunity to welcome her into their lives.
