Amanda

I just got off the phone with her a few minutes ago. She is my second-oldest granddaughter, and I had no idea. She had a sense of humor or a dry wit, which I would call it.

We were discussing insurance on vehicles. I explained that when Bill got me this vehicle that I have now, he put tags on it for two years out in Arizona. I thought it would be okay within two years, as I would be dead. Well, March 25th, the two years are up, and I'm going to put it over in my name this time and get it tagged under my name. When I was telling Amanda about this, I said I thought I would be dead by now, but I'm not. I'm still here. I think God has forgotten about me. I'll bet every night when I say my prayers, God says, "Helen who?" and we both laughed at that, and then Amanda said, "Well, that's just bad management on His part."

It has been another cold day here. The sun is out, but it is still cold. I'm going to go to town tomorrow. I've got to pick up my medicine.

I've still been working on that blue baby blanket for Mackenzie. So today, I ripped out another 7 to 8 inches of it again. I'm not sure I'll ever get it correct. The pattern is very simple, and I do mean very simple. I do not know why I'm having such a hard time keeping it sized properly. After I ripped it out the second time, I made sure I counted the stitches like every other row. It continually stayed at 100 stitches, but it just got wider. I could tell that my crocheting was more loose than what it was to begin with, but goodness, I've ripped it out two times since then. I'm not sure I'll ever get it done.

I made myself a hamburger about 3 o'clock this afternoon, and it has made me so full. I am just about sick. Isn't it sad when you get old, everything makes you ill?

Well, I have not heard from Fleta today. I imagine she went to work, but I'm not sure. Betty, on the other hand, I think went running around everywhere. Not me, that's for sure.

I just found out today that my Austin boy is engaged. He's been going with this little girl for a couple of years. She seems very nice, reasonable, and ordinary. She has a good job.

I wonder when our boy Jr.'s going to get married. Spring would be a great time.
