Bill can move In

The electric is all in and the compressor lines are ready.

He finished this up yesterday. His next day off is Thursday, so he won't get moved in before then.

I went down to Fleta's today and borrowed some sugar. Well, I shouldn't say borrowed because I never pay it back. But I wanted to make some oatmeal cookies and I didn't have any sugar. I only had flour because she bought that for me yesterday. I think I'll ask for steaks for tomorrow.

Okay, let's talk about the sourdough starter. It rose so high yesterday. I was so pleased with it, so I took half of the discard of it today and made a loaf of bread. It's in the oven right now. But I still use yeast in it because it wasn't ready to make into sourdough. I don't know how it will look or how it will turn out. I've never cooked my bread at a 450-degree temperature, which is what it's on now in the Dutch oven. I'm supposed to leave it for 30 minutes and then take the top off the Dutch oven and cook it for another 20 minutes. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to turn the temperature down then or not. Maybe I should look at a recipe.

It has been so much nicer today. It is 40 degrees right now at 5 o'clock, but it's supposed to get into the low 20s tonight, so I'll have to have the bathroom heat on. I'm not sure if I will have to leave the water running. But I probably will, at least some of it. Maybe not the hot water.
I used my $15 vacuum cleaner today. I used it on my bed because I had stripped my bed to wash my bedding. Then I went over all the floors, and it works great even on the wood floors. When I'm gone, I told Fleta that she either needs to keep it or give it to someone who will really use it because it is a great vacuum cleaner. She said she might just sell it. I told her not to sell it for $15, but to sell it for $175 like it is on eBay.

This weekend, the temperature is supposed to warm up, and I can't wait.

The oatmeal cookies I made are delicious. I ate one with a cup of coffee. I only baked  a full tray of them. I'm going to roll up the rest of the dough and stick it in the refrigerator to do slice-and-bake another day. I'm anxious to see how my bread turns out. I'll take a picture of it and post it tomorrow. If it doesn't turn out well, I may search the internet and find a pretty loaf of sourdough bread and pretend that was mine.
