2023 A New Year

Surely this one will be it.

I’m making a list and have most things checked off. There were several things I wanted to do when I moved to Arkansas… Most of all to be buried in the Alpena Cemetery. That one I do not have checked off yet.

Gilbert and I were going to make my casket. We were going to use daddy’s of barn wood. Well Brother sure put a crimp in that. But I got a cedar one made and I almost have it finished. Just a little lace and pearl trim and it will be done. The trim should be here next week and I am going to Nelson’s funeral home on Tuesday.  I have my flower spray for the top and my dress and all picked out. life is good.

Gilbert s dog has puppies. Hope I can sell 2. Kelly has spoken for 1.

Tomorrow I am getting the old chair frames out of the shed. I am ready to recover them. The vinyl is pricy but I want the original retro cracked ice yellow. I will get them inside tomorrow and see what I am up against.  These metal chars came from Tony and first belonged to Nancy Anderson. I only have 3 we could not find the 4 th one. But I have kept these and will start trying to clean the chrome tomorrow and get all of the tacks out. I am reusing the tacks I am just going to spray paint them.

I’m not making any plans for summer. If it comes around I am going to make a lounge chair out  of those wooden pallets and just sit in the sun everyday. It will feel good on my old bones

I can not believe how expensive groceries are right new. It’s almost unbelievable. How can people feed a large family.

Em starts her classes next week. I sure love her.

I have a pretty clean and organized house today . There is 1 tote I need to sort out. But I may just not look in it and burn itself
