Birds

I was busy yesterday afternoon picking out black walnuts. ..I got 5 1/2 cups....it was so easy.

I let my bird feeders run dry yesterday because I had so much corn on the ground. Then about noon I filled them with black sunflower seeds...last night I counted 15 red birds in my yard.

This morning I heard something  banging under the house and I figured the dog had gotten under there again....no.... but something had burrowed  a small hole to get under there...matybe an armidilla. ...I am not sure but I covered the hole...good... so I may be climbing under there draging out something dead soon.

When I went outside this morning I hit the front door with great determination and did not notice there were tons of birds in my yard.  needless to say they flew away fast. So I am sitting here now drinking my coffee by the window and watching them slowly come back.  I also put a quart chicken waterer of fresh water on the rock by the feeder. I think I will start doing this daily.

On the plus side my dog had 3 mole s dead and lined up in a row for me to see....as if to say ,look what I did.

My only plans for today is to make me some oatmeal cookies to go with my coffee...I need  to get started...They will have lots of spices....dates...coconut. ..and black walnuts in them...
