Hard to believe the time has come....

Where banks would rather have a check deposited than cash...

A few days ago I went to Chase here in Arlington and I deposited a check off my Green Forest account into Melissa's account at Chase. I had to call Melissa to get her account number and I had to use a generic deposit slip... It was 110.00. My cell phone is an add on with Missy's plus Benjamin had a fun run through school and I sponsored him and I owed money for that.  I handed them the check and deposit slip they printed me a receipt and away I went....

Today I went back to that SAME BANK. I had 70.00 in cash I wanted to deposit into Missy's same checking account.  This was because she set up my plane ticket yesterday. I used another generic deposit slip and handed them 3  20's and a 10... They asked me for ID. I told them it was in the truck and I could go get it. So I went outside and got my Id's. When I got back inside  I gave the teller my Chase  debit  Visa card. It is on my Chase account I still have open. It is a premiere account because it is tied in with Missy's name (Melissa's money in other accounts).

I have an account with both of our names on it and then she has an account with only her name on it. A premiere account is their best account it entitles you to many perks. She took The card and did not even check anything and she said no I need something with a picture. I said to deposit cash I have to do all of this. She said yes. I gave her my Drivers license. She said  If I would like to deposit a check into Missy's account they can do that with no ID but to deposit cash into an account they have to have ID for the person's account. I explained I did not sign on that account of Missy's They suggested I write a check.  So I wrote a check off my account with chase and deposited the 70 cash into MY chase account.

They said they got new Federal regulations as of March 1st anyone depositing cash has to show ID for the account the cash is going into.....I'll bet the Green Forest bank does not stick to that regulation...LOL

And Patsy is reading this going, "I knew it and  soon we will all have ID numbers implanted under out skin."

It really did not even upset me. I just thought how odd in this day in time no one wants cash anymore. I usually do not  ever use cash but while I am up here with the Grand kids I try to keep a few dollars on me.

My rolls yesterday were SOOO good.

Tonight Kris is making lasagna  and I am using left over dough to make bread sticks.

There is only 1 load of laundry in the house and I am doing that now.

I just took Kenzie Subway for lunch....as a treat.

The sun is shining here today.

BTW I am heading to AZ 4/20 and staying a couple of days and then on to AR. Hopefully it will be spring in Arkansas by then.

UPDATE I just set my trip from AZ to MO May 4th..... I will arrive around noon . It was on ly $88.00. Pretty good price.

I bet the cash going into bank accounts has to do with laundered money. They think you look like a money changer... The new laws is to make sure the irs get their share of all money.

No one at my bank ask for id to put cash in, but I have not done this since March 1. I may have to go try.
