They had Lock down today at the Lakewood School. This happened at 7:30 just as the High school and Jr high School started. Kristina is also working at the JR high, where Mike goes. Everyone is fine but I just kept the little ones home with me because they start at 8:30 and by then I knew about the lock down.. So we are all safe. Some guy stole a car and they thought he might be headed to the school.
The little ones are watching educational TV. We had breakfast and they ate their packed lunches for snack a few minutes ago. I guess we will have lunch about 1 or 2:00, Whenever we gwt hungry.
It is raining again here today. Nothing new I think it rains every day.
The flowers are blooming in the flower beds. Tulips and daffodils. I am not sure what else. Those short little purple flowers that have a ton of blooms that make 1 larger head flower...The ones that smell so good. They look almost like 1 clump of lilacs. I'm sure Pat knows what they are.
Since it is raining I am leaving the hens locked up. I do not want them hovering on the porch.
When I was outside earlier I saw 5 big red worms crawling on the asphalt. Worms are everywhere here.
I hate to say it but I am really tired of chickens. I will not cry if the coon has big chicken meal....As long as I find them and not Amanda...We feed, we water, we feed, we water.. and get 2 or 3 eggs a day...and no matter how clean I try to keep the roost there are still poop on some of the eggs. I do not like pooped on eggs. And I have starting refusing to clean them. I just leave them in the basket and after awhile some good fairy cleans them...
I guess I will go outside and let them out. Seems a shame to leave them locked up.
Kenzie has soft ball practice every day after school till 5 then Monday, Tuesday and Thursday she has her driving class from 6-8. She is really a busy kid.
Kris just messaged the lock down just lifted. Guess I could take the 2 little ones to school but they are tied up so well with duct tape it would be a shame to take it off before the whole day was up..Besides we are now ready to play Monopoly.
I was talking to Amanda the other day...She told me she wanted to have 8 kids. I told her that was a lot and why did she want so many. She said, "That way if I loose a couple I will still have 6." She is very much like her mother.
Ya know, I was just thinking...I think this August I need to have a family gathering at my place for my 60th Birthday...Yes I know I will only be 59 but this way I could celebrate... I would do all of the cooking...No I just looked at Fleta's calendar and it should be July 4th...It falls on a Friday...We will celebrate my 60th birthday on July 4th, 1014. I can make ice cream too...
