Monday, Monday...update

No snow here but it is 29 and quiet nippy...I took the kids to the  bus stop and I needed a coat..

I am making buns and cinnamon rolls today...and some beans or Spanish rice. I am not sure which.

I got the packages ready to mail to the Grand kids last night. And I had Roberts in a small box....THEN  this morning when I was getting the 2 little ones off to school I asked Amanda to wear a certain coat. It is brown fur, Very cute and looks new. I remember buying it for Kenzie at Burlington Coat Factory... I think it was about 50 bucks...That would mean originally it would have been about 100. I am not sure if I bought it or Missy...Regardless...It had almost never been warn. So I decided to send it to Hannah and maybe she will wear it...Then again maybe not! But I then went through some of Amanda's clothes that are to small or ones she just refuses to wear...and I am fixing a box to go to Fleta's...I'm hoping I can squeeze them in the largest 3 day box to mail. Even if I can't it is worth it because these clothes are nice with a lot of wear and Hannah will like them.

And Fleta if Hannah gets holes in the knees of the colored jeans save them and I will make her shorts....Be sure and do that with all of her pants...It is so fast and easy.. I know, you are not doing it, just put them in my house...and Roberts also...

I have the chickens loose and have on a load of wash. I am not sure what else I need to do today. Kris is making chicken strips for supper.

Yesterday Kenzie colored my hair and I cut it....To me, it looks much better. It is short and easy to fix. Even Kenzie thought it was to long. So long it would not stand up anymore.

I am hungry so I am going to fix something to eat...and I need to get those rolls stirred up and rising...

I got the coat out of the wash and it looks good.

I guess I will be making Mama's rolls because I only had enough flour to make a thick sponge...You know the way Mama used to ..Then add more flour and later make stiff...Well I have to leave the house anyway to mail packages to no problem. I figure I will get a qt of whipping cream while I am out and make them gooey like she used to do....I will even use an iron skillet since I cleaned and seasoned all of Kris's...BTW Clayton that tiny skillet I did wash the rust off of and seasoned it in the oven twice and it came out nice. I have made a little corn bread in it. That is my favorite thing to make in iron skillets..

Guess I'd better get ready for town.
