Missy is getting up and going to pick up vegetables this morning. I will be nice to have a fresh basket of fruits and vegetables. Benjamin loves the fruit. She needs to get down there early and help fill the baskets then she gets extra items free for working. It is pretty easy work for sure.
Yesterday AM I was standing out front of the house and here comes a fire truck, ambulance and police cars rounding the corner to this street. They turn down Missy's street in the opposite direction of her house and stop in the road in front of a house about 6 doors down. Benjamin is still in the house so I get him in the car and we go the 3 blocks to school. I let him take his video game and he plays it while we wait till the school yard gates open. We are early as usual and we park and wait. Soon here comes a cop car racing up to the school and stops. A police man jumps out and runs into the school. I thought oh no, they are going to get some parent or worker. A minute or two later here the police man comes running out with Benjamin's teacher and she is crying. Benjamin is still playing his game and does not know anything is going on. I turn to Benjamin and say. You know you have been having a little cough this morning and I think we should stay home today. He looks at me and gives 2 little coughs and says he thinks I am right and so we just go back home and stay. He was so happy and surprised. He did make a few little coughs during the day when I would ask if he was feeling better.
Well I guess I did not make much sense in this post....I knew the cop that went to the school was one of them that was at the house down the street from Missy's house..Benjamin's teacher Mother and father live down the road from Missy and they look after Benjamin's teachers child....Turns out the ambulance was called to their house....I did not know it was their house till I saw the teacher leaving with the police to go to the hospital....I am still not sure who was sick, or hurt, or died...I knew her parents lived right here but I was not sure which house...Now I guess I know...
Here is a picture of Benjamin and the Principal when he got to spray her wig pink at the read a thon awards. You know this should have been a great day for Benjamin but he is a little like his Mama and would have rather just stayed in his room and worked, than gone outside and had all of that fun....First of all when I asked him if he had fun he told me not very much and I asked why....He said,'I almost peed my pants but I didn't but I thought I was going to,' I asked him why and he said, "Because I was a little bit afraid. The Principal came into my room while I was doing my work and told the teacher she needed me. She did not take any of the other kids." and then I said but I heard the music Benjamin and it was ' jamming' and that must have been fun with all of the kids yelling and cheering. It was outside on the lawn and they had mikes and big speakers and very loud Rock Star music booming and all of the kids were yelling when the Principal would yell over the mike, 'Who's the best school in Gilbert.' He said, 'It kind of hurt my ears.' So I figured yesterday we would just keep him home he did not need another traumatic day at school with all of the mess going on with his teacher.

I am glad she was not hauled away because she was criminal.
I hope all is well for Benjamin's teacher...
