The Best Part...

Here is a picture of Benjamin at Barbs taken the day we stopped in there for a few minutes..

On Tuesday Benjamin and I had time to talk about our trip. It does not take a lot of prompting to get all of Benjamin's ideas how things are. The conversation went something like this.

Me: So how did you like all of my Brothers and Sisters.

Benjamin: I liked them all pretty good. I really liked the little kids. That was fun playing with them. That one kid had that red shovel I really liked that shovel.. I pretty much liked everyone except 'that Clayton.' 'That Clayton' doesn't do very much. He sits a lot. (He was not talking about Baby Clayton.
Me: yeah, but what about George. He took you for a ride on a tractor. Now that was pretty fun wasn't it.

Benjamin: Yeah I liked George all right. That tractor was fun. But I'm pretty sure he hid the red shovel on me. You know he found it laying out in the yard and told me not to leave it there. He did not know I was not through playing with it. I picked it up and put it up but he does not know me and he does not know I remember where everything is and I don't loose stuff. You know it belonged to those other little kids and I'm sure he thought I would loose it . So I am pretty sure he hid it somewhere and I could not find it. I sure did like that red shovel. I need to buy one of those.

Me: Well Uncle Clayton would not have hid the red shovel on you.

Benjamin: No, He didn't even have one....

I loved this story! I think Benjamin takes after you in his ability to state his thoughts clearly and honestly, without pulling any punches. What a cutie he is!
