Washington...

Michael playing a driving game at Chucky Cheese...I asked him to look at me while he was playing. He turned his face towards me and made a smiley face but you will notice the eyes are on the road...Amanda clapping for Jake as he runs to get the ball for her. Benjamin and Amanda playing ball in Kris's yard....Rained again today...Benjamin does not care. It is never too wet or too hot for him to go outside..

Yesterday Kris said Jake goes to bed after Darrel gets up. Darrel works the grave yard shift so he went to bed around noon and gets up at 8:30. When Kris made the comment about when Darrel gets up Benjamin piped up, "Well he has been laying in bed all day sleeping!" You could tell Benjamin thought this was pretty much a waste of the day. I explained to Benjamin that while we sleep Uncle Darrel works.

Kris had to go to Michael's cub Scout meeting last night and relied on Melissa and me to make sure Darrel gets up at 8:30 to go to work..... I told Kris this would not be a problem. Kris said it was hard for her to remember to get him up on time. I assured her I would not forget and he would be awake at 8:30. After she left Missy and I laughed. We could not figure out how any member of the family could forget to get Darrel up to go to work since out of the 4 Grand Kids, Kris, and Kaylin, Darrel is the only one in the household bringing in any money. As Missy said, "We want to make sure we get to eat the rest of the week while we are here."

Kris called the house at 8:35 to help remind us but we allready had Darrel awake.
