President Jimmy Carter just about said it all yesterday when asked about Joe Wilson he stated.
ATLANTA - Former President Jimmy Carter said Tuesday that U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson's outburst to President Barack Obama during a speech to Congress last week was an act "based on racism" and rooted in fears of a black president.
"I think it's based on racism," Carter said at a town hall held at his presidential center in Atlanta. "There is an inherent feeling among many in this country that an African-American should not be president."
Now I think Carter is the first political person of great importance to come right out and say it...calling it what we all know it is RACISM! I always thought Jimmy Carter was one of the most honest politicians in our history. He was too honest to be in politics.
Sister Patsy has a picture of a woman holding up a racists sign and smiling. That just looks so stupid to me...Holding up a hate sign and smiling...
I am like Carter. I am worried about this situation.... And I am not smiling...

I think Carter was one of the most decent men to wear the title of president. Like you,I don't think that virtue does well in politics.
I am afraid you are right. Racisim has kept its head down for years but it is raising it again.
Not smiling here either.
