While visiting Fleta we took a trip to Pat's old place. She has a climbing rose, I would call it a wild climbing rose because the blooms look like a wild rose to me but I do not know much about flowers. Regardless, it is an ambitious little thing. If you enlarge the 1st picture you can see the rose just right of the center of the tree about half way up the tree.
This picture was taken a little closer but you can see it better if you enlarge it...And of course this is Fleta stealing a few pieces of it...
While I was at Fleta's we drove all over looking at old buildings and looking where buildings used to be. The day Winnie came down we were going to town to look for my Grand Girl a bonnet for a school play. George asked where we were going. I told him 3 or 4 places we were headed and Fleta added 'and we are going to get some flowers.' So I told George, "I guess we are going to the grave yard also." We did not go to the grave yard, we just stopped by the road to town and stole them out of people's yards...

I bet that rose has a lot of tiny little thorns. Fleta sounds like she is a lot of fun, stealing flowers along the way. What would she have done if the person living in the house came out, or were these all wild flowers she was picking. Did you find a bonnet?
I got that rose from garneys catlog 20 years ago . the name is farie pink rose.
It is a pretty rose.
