I got up this morning feeling pretty proud of myself. I was able to make the trip to see my family with no ill effects. After only a day of rest I was feeling pretty spry...After all, I did climb the Morris Hill and although that certainly would not have been on my Bucket List, had I had one, I was amazed I lived over it... Then yesterday, I went to get my blood draw and found out Jason, who had been drawing my blood for over a year, had quit the company. I did not have a melt down and a 'new older' guy hit my vein just fine...He was a retired pilot for American Airlines for 30 years and he is now drawing blood...Just another victim of our times I figure...Then today I went to see Dr. Cavalcant and was oohed and aahed over appropriately by all of the Nurses...I drove the convertible with the top down and the wind blowing in my hair while jamming to Kenny Chesney songs....So by the time I got home I was pleased as punch with myself...Then I went to get the mail and this was in the Mailbox...
I have to tell you, when Little Opie is on the front of your AARP magazine it really makes you feel really old...So I am back into my old comfortable slump now...properly deflated...

Ha!Ha!, don't let that get you down. I forget who I saw about a year ago on the cover and couldn't believe it at the time and then I realized, well probably so, after all my oldest kid is now 53. I wonder what my Mother feels like saying her kid will be 73 this coming Oct. It happens and not a darn thing we can do about it.
Glad you had a nice trip and it didn't wear you out too much.
I joined aarp when I turned 50..then I got all this junk mail. They sold my name to every tom dick and harry in the us. I am not a member anymore. Don't think I will ever join again.
