Years ago I remember Mamma cooking supper in the early afternoon. I always thought that was a little ridiculous. For the last couple of years I have also made supper in the early afternoon. Melissa and Benjamin are coming over for supper. Everyone will have to warm up their plate of food in the microwave. But I am afraid if I did not cook early I would not feel like cooking.
Fried pork chops and gravy, corn on the cob, canned biscuits, green beans, mashed potatoes and cantaloupe, is the menu for tonight.

pass the biscuits.
WOW, looks mighty good to me. I just finished mowing and before I went out, since I wasn't too hungry made myself a peanut butter sandwich and someone once told me tomato slices are good on it, tried it and believe it or not, was pretty good, had that along with a little apple salad left over from lunch and a small glass of milk.
Temp was only 73, but when I came in the sweat was dripping. I suppose having had a prednisone shot this afternoon for these darn allergies didn't help matters.
But it's done for the week and already my allergies are starting to feel better.
Kentucky born.....can I come to dinner?
