It poured and spilled here for a few minutes last night. We do not get rain often. Last Night about 7 PM Melissa was here. She came over to spend the night because last weekend she bought an elliptical machine. The 1st time she used it the thing fell apart. So she wanted to take it back and get another one and the store said they would have one Thursday. Let me add it cost her $300.00 and that was on sale from the original $500.00 price. So she had almost forgotten to call and I reminder her around 7. She got ready to go and said it was starting to sprinkle. The store is ½ mile from my house. Within 5 minutes of her leaving we had the most awful storm, high winds blew my lawn chairs off the porch and rain was coming off the roof by bucket fulls! Melissa exchanged her new machine and got home about the time the rain stopped!
I took the picture of the yard this morning. You can hardly tell it rained except the rug on the porch is wet, as you can see from my sock prints where I stepped on it.
Last night while it was raining so hard I was trying to tack Mackenzie’s quilt. I had to use pliers to pull the needle with the yard through the quilt. It was a mess to say the least. I am so clumsy anymore. I stuck the needle through the fat on my arm and out about ½ an inch where it went in at. Melissa pulled the needle through most of the time after that. Anyway I was too busy to take a picture of the rain.
The last picture is of fried canned biscuit pieces rolled in sugar and cinnamon. I made them for Benjamin this morning. I put 5 for him in a little sack to eat when he got into the car and on his way to daycare. I asked his mother if 5 was too many. Benjamin has a sensitive stomach. His mama said 5 was a lot. I left his 5 in the sack for him. I then asked Melissa if she wanted any she said she did. I asked her how many she wanted and she replied a lot. I gave her 5 also. I’ll bet she decided 5 was not a lot!
