They say it could rain today but I am not holding my breath...
Yesterday I went to my General MD and she confirmed I did have a BAD sinus infection. It has caused a large lump on my face that was just not from my fall. She also referred me back to my cardiologists to have that test taken where they look at the blood flow through my neck....The 12 year old Doctor I had at the hospital who looked at me 1 minute decided this is causing my fainting problem....I asked the NP yesterday, Connie Neal, who is older than me and worked for DR Wolfe 15 years if there was anything in the scan that would lead him to believe I was having a problem with these arteries in my neck...She said 'no.' ....I said he took one look at me and saw I was fat and figured I must have a cholesterol problem didn't he....and she said, 'yes.' But I am willing to have that test done by the Dr anyway but I am not going to EVDI, an imagining place that can not find their butts with both hands...

Quilt...
For a few years Mike rode mountain Bikes. Every event he went to he got a T shirt....Plus when he paid in advance he got another one. I am sure he has over 200 bike t shirts he has never worn. Last winter I told him I would make a quilt out of some of them if he wanted one. These are the fronts and backs from a few of his t shirts. Each block is about 15 inches so I could get all of the pattern. When it is completed my Grand Boys will want it. But it will only be given away when pried out of Mike's cold dead hands...
New Company..
H & E equipments, fork lift division, just got bought out by Arnold Equipment...Mike has worked for H & E for a number of years. It is hard to remember how many maybe 5 or 6 before that it was ACM before that I do not remember but 27 years ago when he started with this company it was owned by Empire right here in Mesa. Empire was a small home owned company that handled all CAT Equipment. One of the Brothers went through a divorce and he had to sell off the fork lift division to pay off the X-wife. I am still sad he does not work right here for Empire.
Since Empire, the companies have just gotten Bigger and Bigger this does usually mean more money for Mike but less personal business. When they have one of these buy outs they usually keep all of the good mechanics and only get rid of some management people. Since Mike has his 'own' customers I imagine his job is secure. I sure hope so. I hate to see them sold again and I do not even know why, I never liked H&E the main office was somewhere back east and the AZ dealership had very little pull in the company. Arnolds bought all of the equipment, dealership and trucks. I am glad they bought the service trucks because I think Arnolds used vans for service mechanics...Goodness, Mike would need a van and a trailer to carry all of his tools and crap... I hope they have good insurance....
I go to the Doctor today. I have a sinus infection from my fall. I need some antibiotics. I think I will go to the library today as soon as they open, 10:00 AM. It is all ready hot here this morning. I have not even stuck my nose outside but the air has been running a lot this morning.
I stayed at Missy's all day yesterday. Benjamin is such a good boy we just played on the computer, played cards, cooked a little and watched movies. He loves westerns where they have guns. He picked out the movie City Slickers 2 because he thought from the cow boy picture on the front it would have guns in it. When I told him it did not we chose another one. We can watch most of the old John Wayne Westerns because the language was mild. He repeats everything he hears. He loves seeing the cattle, horses and guns...He's all boy.
Oh my, it is hot today and this is only the middle of July. We have 2 more months of heat here....

Austin..
This spring the Boy played T-ball....he likes soccer better...that could be because Eric coached his soccer team....I think that was a good idea..I'll bet if I was the coach he would like the sport I coached also.....all of those other little urchins might hate me though....
School will be starting for Austin in 2 weeks. He will be going to a year around school and riding a bus this year..I'm sure it will work out fine... He is such a good boy, I just wish he liked school better...All we need is that one great teacher and there would be no stopping us!
I have Benjamin today...We are going to the Library and the beach... Right now I am on the computer and he is watching cartoons... We played cards yesterday. We played go fish. Benjamin knows all of his letters like Q and J and most of his numbers....He knows the 9 but not the 6 and when we finished we had to count the cards...He got 40 and was able to count that far with no problem....I do not know how far he can count....If we play go fish again I may see if he can count to 54....We play with a regular deck of cards.
Austin and I play a game where we each get 2 card and whoever has the most points from those two cards wins all 4 cards...Austin does not like math very well but he sure likes cards...
Missy, Benjamin, and I will be going up to see Kris and the Kids on my birthday 8/18 we will stay a week and come home. That should be long enough for me and the Girl to do some things. She is all ready making plans for us...
My face still hurts but the eye is open. A lot of the blood has run down to my jaw but there is still a BIG knot on my cheek.. Guess I'll live..

Cooking...
I decided I wanted to eat instead of sewing so I had to cook...
Mike came into the Kitchen while I was fixing the peach cobbler and he wanted to know who I was cooking all of this for. I told him me, just me....I did notice when it was done he ate also.
I had been wanting a peach cobbler for days. I asked Patsy what kind of dough do you use in a cobbler, she said just pie crust.. so I rolled out a crust and put it in the bottom and added some peaches mixed with a little sugar and corn starch, then another pie crust and more peaches and a crust on top... It is good but I just wanted a little bit...The crust is excellent and the peaches taste really fresh..Some things you can't just make one serving....Hope Benjamin and Missy come over for supper...
Darn Billy's and Kris's hide for moving away...
