Austin ready for school....

Austina's Mama is in the Hospital this morning hopefully having a healthy baby girl today....I was able to pick up Austin last night after school and he will be with me till Saturday. Last night we played with Benjamin till he left at 5:50. We had pizza for supper and did some homework then at 6:30 he had to go to football practice. His practices are right here in my housing development. So that is easy. I will be picking him up and taking him to school for the next 2 days and that is a 25 mile round trip from my house. But we made it this morning just fine and thank goodness I was going in the opposite direction of the morning traffic. Austin gets up very early at my house. We always have plenty of time to fix pancakes and press our school clothes before we get out the door. He often has time to get on the computer for a short while also.
Tonight we have team pictures at 5 and then Saturday morning we have a football game at 8 AM. both are right here in Gilbert and that will not be a problem at all. He is a busy kid. As he gets older he will have many more interesting things to do besides visit with Granny. That is why Fleta's 'Hook um young' theory is so important.

Well I think I will lay down for a little while and recoup before this afternoon. It is only 8:30 and I feel like I have put in a full day.

Carter calling a spade a spade...

President Jimmy Carter just about said it all yesterday when asked about Joe Wilson he stated.

ATLANTA - Former President Jimmy Carter said Tuesday that U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson's outburst to President Barack Obama during a speech to Congress last week was an act "based on racism" and rooted in fears of a black president.

"I think it's based on racism," Carter said at a town hall held at his presidential center in Atlanta. "There is an inherent feeling among many in this country that an African-American should not be president."

Now I think Carter is the first political person of great importance to come right out and say it...calling it what we all know it is RACISM! I always thought Jimmy Carter was one of the most honest politicians in our history. He was too honest to be in politics.

Sister Patsy has a picture of a woman holding up a racists sign and smiling. That just looks so stupid to me...Holding up a hate sign and smiling...

I am like Carter. I am worried about this situation.... And I am not smiling...

Tuesday....Sunny...

I came over to Missy's this morning and I was going to pick up Benjamin and take him back to my house. Then when I got ready to leave Missy's I figured out I did not bring a car seat....Now Benjamin had all sorts of ideas like just putting on the seat belt and 'I will not tell my Mama' But I know that boy and his Mama would of not set both feet in my front door and it would have been out of his mouth, "I got to ride in Granny's car without a car seat!" That Boy will turn on me like a dime...As far as I know he has never got to ride out of a drive way without being strapped into a car seat....So I have spent all day here at Missy's...Her house is clean so it could have been much worse...

Benjamin and I took his bike down to the park and he rode it in the grass. He is getting better and can ride almost all of the way across the park with only one push. If he had someone better helping him he would learn how to ride. The next weekend Ben picks him up I think Missy needs to send his bike. Now I am sure h@## would freeze over before that happens because she is afraid he might take him riding in traffic or something but I'll bet he would come home knowing how to ride. I wish Bill was here to teach him. This poor kid may never learn how to ride with Granny helping.

Patsy's blog has been showing a post on the side bar of my blog...It starts out saying 'Some people have no common sense..." I have been trying to get that post to show all day. I thought something was wrong with Missy's computer but I finally figured out Patsy must have deleted that post...I wish I would have read it because it must have been really bad for her to delete it....I'm sure it was aimed at someone specific..

I have been using a new looking blog posting page and I can not find a spell check on this thing....It has a lot of special things like a link tab but I do not know where a spell check is on this thing....It starts with an undo arrow at the top...then font...then font size and so on....Fleta or Patsy if yours has changed and is showing this page for a new post please tell me how to get to spell check....
