Sunday

I went outside early this morning and it almost felt like fall....Not bad since it was 113 yesterday.. So I sat out there and drank my coffee and snapped a picture of my tree....The old stand by when I have nothing to shoot..

I always think looking at this bench under the tree it looks so inviting....But there is bird poop all over it all of the time...

Yesterday we got fresh produce from our co-op and we got the biggest potatoes I have ever seen...I also have a squash laying there I need to cook up and eat. We got fresh corn and it is very good. I love corn because you know that is what they feed to pigs to fatten them. We also got big purple grapes and fresh peaches ... I really enjoy getting produce from this co-op because there is always a variety and you never know what you will get.

Benjamin and Melissa stopped in for a little while this morning after she picked him up from his dad's.
Little Benjamin was not feeling so good this morning and I think he was a little warm. Missy gave him some Motrin and after he played on the computer for awhile he was feeling better. Life is always better when Benjamin is in a good mood.

Amanda.....

The last day the kids were here we all went to the beach....Mackenzie took Amanda to the bathroom and on the way back Amanda was running...Little Benjamin piped up and said, "Look at Amanda, she is running wild."

It has been record breaking hot here for the last 2 weeks. While Kris was here she kept the air turned down because she was always hot. Mike would come home and it would be set at 72 and he would come un glued...I am sure he thought I was turning it down. It was really nice and comfortable while she was here. It should have been the monsoon season here this month but we have had only a sprinkle of rain. I guess we will not have a monsoon season this year...It is kind of like Arkansas, we have had a strange weather year..

I'm glad Patsy is back home and putzing around. Hopefully she will not have to go back to the hospital for awhile...The hospital is no place to be when you are sick....If you are not well enough to look after yourself in the hospital you are in trouble.....

Benjamin has been back in day care for the last 2 days. I was afraid he would have a fit but he has not. I guess he needed the rest after being with 'his kids' for 2 weeks. There was a lot of activity that he is not used too. Benjamin likes things very orderly....and calm....

I was able yesterday to get my house back in order and completely cleaned. I am still washing blankets and quilts but I almost have them all finished. I need to empty the dish washer and put away 2 loads of quilts.

Kris said the kids were hanging up all of their new school clothes. They each had a big box of stuff that I had washed it all and ironed it all so it was ready to be put on hangers. Their school will start in about 10 days. I do not see how she keeps up with all of their laundry. Her and Melissa both have a ton of laundry. They think I have a ton of trash and I do. I guess I need to recycle....it is so much trouble. I think recycling is a good thing and everyone should do it but I don't. That is so bad.....

It has been a quiet morning here. Many people would be bored. Me, I just love it....

My Two Girls....

Kris has been making some good burp rags for Kimmie and Bettina. Here she is crocheting on the ends...She can sew, knit, and crochet... She is going to look for a sub teaching job this year, but with 4 kids she has her hands pretty full...

Benjamin giving his Mama high 5's....Benjamin says everyone has to listen to their Mama and when he is at my house they both have to listen to me because I am the boss since I am his Mama's, Mama....Benjamin likes it when Granny is the boss because it is sort of a joint decision making process between him and me....Sometime Benjamin's idea is better than mine...

Oh yes and he has told me, "Not everyone has a Mama's, Mama." I think they have discussed this in his school...
Benjamin had to go back to Day Care today....I think it has been about 3 weeks since he has gone....He was not to happy...

On Their Way...

Grandpa and Melissa took Kris and the kids, along with 12 pieces of luggage and moving boxes... to the airport at 5 PM tonight...Benjamin said he was really going to miss Amanda, Michael, and Mackenzie, but he was not going to hug them...

Amanda said yesterday she was ready to go home because she missed her daddy...I told her after she left all the people in AZ will miss her and she replied, "Even the people that have not met me." She does not have any low self esteem issues...

This picture was taken last Saturday after we took family pictures at VVL...We had left the house without a bathing suit for Amanda....While someone went home to get hers she still enjoyed the water...At a public beach in her under ware....

Notice in this picture she is wanting to really hug Benjamin and he is trying really hard not to shove her off of him....He wants his personal space...

A Time to Remember
