I thought I should post something today...

And besides saying my house is really clean I did not have much to say so...

An airline pilot wrote that on this particular flight he had hammered his ship into the runway really hard. The airline had a policy which required the first officer to stand at the door while the passengers exited, smile, and give them a 'Thanks for flying our airline.' He said that, in light of his bad landing, he had a hard time looking the passengers in the eye, thinking that someone would have a smart comment. Finally everyone had gotten off except for a little old lady walking with a cane.

She said, "Sir, do you mind if I ask you a question?"

"Why, no, Ma'am,' said the pilot. 'What is it?"

The little old lady said, "Did we land, or were we shot down?"

Getting Ready for Company....

I am getting excited that it is only 5 days and those 4 Grand Kids will be here....I have the 3 back rooms rooms spotless....Their bath is all set up with everything they will need while they are here. Mackenzie will stay in my room...Amanda may want to also but I doubt it....I have been looking for an extra play pen....It would not seem like a waste to buy a new one and while Lexi is here on the weekends we will need two....The one I have is Austin's old one and it has been through a lot....Bill's new baby could use a new one I am sure....So that is a possibility...

I have also been looking at buying a bed...I have a blow up bed...one of those tall ones but I think maybe I do need a bed in that back room....I am just not sure on that...I am still pondering...

Lilly is coming this evening to cut and color my hair....I am picking Austin up at 3:30 because he needs his cut also....I have not seen him for awhile so it will be really good to get my hands on him for a little while.....I can find out what he thinks about school...

I have set up 2 appointments to have pictures taken of the Grand Kids while they are here...I am hoping in 2 different days at least we may end up with one picture where everyone is happy.... It is hard to get 7 kids to cooperate...

Well things to clean...I gotta go...

and one last thing I am so proud Bill Clinton got those 2 girls out of Korea....and Fox News just needs to leave him alone......and I know Bill did not really get them out by himself....but how smart of Obama to let Bill get the glory....It really looked good to me!

A Little Confused...Like I often am....

"WHERE is my SUNDAY paper?!" The irate customer calling the newspaper office, loudly demanded to know where her Sunday edition was.

"Madam", said the newspaper employee, "today is Saturday. The Sunday paper is not delivered until tomorrow, onSUNDAY".

There was quite a long pause on the other end of the phone, followed by a ray of recognition as she was heard to mutter, "Well, shit, so that's why no one was at church today."

I had forgotten, but it was 37 years ago today Fleta and George got married....Somewhere in my pictures I have a picture of George, Fleta, Mom, and dad standing at the alter and Fleta is holding mama's hand...that was the picture I was looking for when I ran across this one of Richard riding Betty's ole Red horse. He is sitting in the saddle I have in my closet that Tony had restored years ago and Gave back to me...I love this picture...I think except for pictures of Daddy this is my favorite...

And yes I know, this has nothing at all to do with Fleta's anniversary which I am ashamed to admit I had forgotten about but when I saw this picture I just had to post it...

Well I do have a horse story about Fleta...When Fleta was still living at home but working at Tyson's Daddy bought a little black horse that was just green broke...I think it was bought for me. The horse was Black but later turned to a dapple Grey and Daddy gave it to Dillard....Which has nothing to do with anything...

Anyway Daddy brought the horse home one night after work and it was all ready dark. He told me not to try to ride it till the next night when he would be home earlier to help me. When Daddy got home I had the little Black horse tied in the yard to the barn lot fence...I remember daddy said he was surprised I had not all ready tried to ride him.

Well Fleta, Betty, and me were all there by the horse and Daddy had a hold of the reins. We did not have a saddle for the horse. Fleta decided she would get on first. I remember her butt hit the horses back, the horse jumped and in the next second fleta was sitting flat on the ground with her legs sprawled and the horses two hind legs were right in between her legs. I have never seen anyone hit the ground so fast....Fleta always had more guts than the rest of us...

Happy anniversary Sister...

I Did learn something Today....

If you are going to the SPCA to adopt a puppy and take your 6 year old daughter with you and the SPCA worker asks..."Have you ever had a dog that died?" You say, "I don't think so..." But your 6 year old Daughter pipes up and says..."Yes we did Mama. Remember Snowbell that Daddy shot because he was killing the goats!" You will not be a good candidate to adopt one of their dogs.....and they will refer you to the local pound....

This is a true story but did not happen to me......
