I just got these pictures today from Marvin King...Rhea and he went to Vegas...He rented this Vette...I have to admit this is a pretty car...form the picture of the speedometer,' He drove it like he stole it!'

It is hard to even remember...

I watched a documentary last night about Walter Cronkite. They showed many short clips of his news casts. It made me think about Chet Huntley, David Brinkley, and Walter Cronkite and how the news used to be produced...Back when the news was news and not a dog and pony show like we have today...Look at the difference between them and news casters of today... I watch a lot of news and I had really forgotten what a good news caster really was because we do not have any worth their salt today..Cronkite, Brinkley, and Huntley are truly a dying breed of news casters....It is sad... "Good night David, good Night Chet...and good night for NBC news..." "And that`s the way it is."

I am at Missy`s today taking care of the boy....He is playing a game on the TV with this bicycle thing hooked up to it....It is an educational toy of chourse...

BTW these pictures were taken in CA when we went to Lego Land...I will have new vacation pictures to post soon since I am going to see the grandkids in Aug.

Missy has this funky keyboard hooked up to her computer... It is for a child, guess what child, The keys are all brightly colored, spongy, and about an inch square...
When Missy hooked it up for Benjamin she complained she could not type on it because the keys were too far apart...I thought, that would not bother me since I type with 3 fingers...I was wrong..


I was sitting here reading blogs and drinking my coffee and I spilled a half a cup of coffee all over her carpet....Good thing she has the good carpet spot cleaner...I think I got it all up and a couple of other spots....When my Grand kids drink at my computer they have to put their drink in a drawer in the desk, so my coffee cup is now in a drawer...

I watched Ron White the other night on TV. He tours with the Blue Color comedy guys, well I guess he is actually one of them. Anyway he has all new material. I like him but he is often very dirty speaking so it is sometimes hard to take too much of him but this was funny. He said, I think I need to go see a doctor, (Pause) I am not sure. (Pause) But one of my testicles is A LOT bigger, (Pause) than the other two.

Hens and little chickens....these are my favorite kind of chickens even though they do not lay eggs...

July 20...Monday

Yesterday I cleaned out the spa. Mike had not been in it in a month. He said it made fungus on his foot....imagine that!....Could be because he soaked in in for 5 or 6 hours a day, never cleaned it, and never ran the cleaning system.....and it had been months since I had cleaned it because I was never able to get in it after he 'soaked'...So yesterday he said he was not going to use it anymore...I drained it...green and all.....ran the system, washed it all down, filled it, drained it again, added chemicals.......left the heat off and Benjamin had a nice cool place to play....I am now draining it again...It will be even cleaner tomorrow...Could not believe a person would climb into 104 degree water for months and months just sitting there like a BIG germ pile and not know this was nasty......but to each his own....

The best thing about Granny's spa is you can just get out and go wee-wee in the yard and not have to go to a club house bathroom...

Swimming like a fish!

I am cooking a pot of beans and ham today and Benjamin and I am going to the library today at 1:30 to watch a free movie..."The Wild"...we have the movie and have seen it several times but I know we will enjoy it at the library with all of the other kids...

I have striped my bed and washing all of the linens..I will have a clean taunt bed today...After I lay in it a night or two the sheets are never as tight even if I re put them on each day...love a clean bed...

Sister's Weather...

I read Sister's blog this morning and she said she went for a walk this morning and had to wear a jacket because it was 55 in mid July...

I am sure I could look out my door right now and no one will be taking a walk around outside...It is 112 in Mid July... You certainly could not be wearing a jacket going for a walk here....You also would have to have on shoes or you would burn your feet....It is so hot you would want to walk around naked but you can't do that either because you would die from sun burn... So here in mid July we stay inside.....

But this winter when you are freezing from the cold or snow or rain...I will be walking around outside with the majority of my white skin showing to the world...Then I can say, ' oh, it's 70 degrees in mid January..'.
