Just when you think it can’t get any colder

 It gets Colder!

I I made some great soup today. It was wonderful to have since it is so cold out. I left my water running all day because I don't want any of those pipes to freeze.

I mainly just sat here and crocheted. It's been an uneventful day.

I did clean up the kitchen and sweep the floor. I sewed some soup bowl cozies that I can put in the microwave with my bowl in it and left them out without burning my hands. That is a great thing because I do eat a lot.

I went outside today and got some snow and made some snow ice cream. It was not very good. When I was a kid, I remembered I used to think it was good. Maybe we were just really hungry.

I filled up the birdfeeders yesterday and I have had birds galore. No squirrels out there as of yet, it'll be easy to see when I do because of the snow. I'm sure we have somewhere around four or five inches of snow. However much it is, it is way too much for me.

Living on a farm for years, carrying water and feeding animals, just ruined all of us girls from being able to enjoy snow.

I don't think it's supposed to get above freezing tomorrow either, so this snow is probably going to be here for several days.

I have been sick for a while, and I seem to be feeling a little bit better today. I'm glad.

There's really not much going on here. I have been crocheting on this blanket for Mackenzie. I have it about 3/4 of the way done.

After I get the blanket made, I'm going to start arranging fake flowers for the tombstones. I think I'll enjoy that more. I have a lot of flowers here that I got at Dollar General for a penny. Penny items are not really easy to find at Dollar General, but occasionally, you run across them. And I found several artificial flowers. I bought them all. I knew I would be needing them for Memorial Day.

I don't know how many days it will be before I can drive out of here. I imagine it will be several days.
