We have snow

This morning laying in bed it sounded like Santa and the reindeers were stomping in my roof. Just like a kid I thought ‘Yippee, presents!’ No it was just the snow breaking on my roof! 

I mailed a letter today. You know it used to be rain, hail, sleet, or snow, the mail must go through. Once the mail system went private I don’t think they are so dependable now. I wonder if my letter will be picked up today? Guess we will see. 

It’s still standing. My Daddy did a good job. He would hate this snow. I have no outside chores so I should not despise it so much. …. But once a farmers daughter always a farmers daughter. Just thinking about the animals getting feed and water makes me feel badly.

 An old wreath on my front door. I have a lot of new flowers that only cost me a penny for a $5 bunch I have about 80 bunches. I will be using them this May for my funeral flowers. Most of mine are orange and yellow. Betty said she will buy me a bunch of white to intermix. But I still won’t make a new wreath till spring. I did not even do a Christmas one this year. 

I’m going to do my best not to just sleep all day today I have done that for 2 days. I think I’ll turn on every light in the house. 

Bill called me this morning he was happy he was getting his days off changed back to the days he likes to get off .. soon he will be off Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. It’s called working the first half of the week not the last half of the week. The kids are out of school every Friday so that is nice.  He was on his way to work at 5:30. It’s always good to talk to him. 

Missy called me last night so that was really nice. Amanda and Benj are doing fine. 

The bed is made I guess that is a good start to my day. Now I’m going to put on a pot of beans to cook. 

I’m pilling the blinds up on the living room picture. I just can’t stand it anymore!
