Snow is almost gone

But the cold is here to stay.

I started a new baby blanket for Kenzie since I made one for Amanda and one for lex.

Fleta bought this yarn for me at Christmas. I just gave her a hard time!

It has been a good day here today. I’m so thankful Fleta will be able to drive herself to work tomorrow. On the other hand I will not be trying to drive anywhere. It is just to cold and there might be ice tomorrow. The cold is supposed to last for at least two more weeks and it’s supposed to be really cold.

Well, I’ve been crocheting today. I’ve had the television on there really isn’t anything good on but it is a racket.

I spoke to Mackenzie today. She was doing good. I got to see the grandest. Oh she is to die for she is so cute and Amanda was over at Christina’s. I even got to see her so that was nice.

Bill called me today. He’s back at work hard at it. His friend is coming over with his teenage boys this weekend to help work on his building. That would be lots of hands helping hands. I love it.

Laura stayed home today and she took Betty Jean to her exercise class. She goes to this senior class Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. It’s not far from her house but she’s like the rest of us old people. She don’t wanna drive when the weather is bad.

The kids did not have to go to school today, but they never have to go on Monday anyway. I’m sure Robert went to work. I don’t know about the other two they don’t work at McDonald’s every day. I kind of think they were staying home today.

Oh I heard Robert got a new dog a big one. I’ll bet sister Fleta is so proud. I know this because Greg come up to get some wood to build a doghouse for it so at least maybe it’ll stay outside. Maybe it will stay down at Greg’s that would even be better.

I don’t know how long it’ll take me to make this baby blanket. I started on it around noon, which was about five hours ago and I’ve done about 5 inches. So I guess it may take me quite a while nothing but time here that’s for sure.

I made Spanish rice yesterday. I’ve had it twice today. Nothing else just Spanish rice. It is absolutely one of my favorite foods high in carbs. That’s good for my width isn’t it?

Mackenzie was making sourdough bread today. Someone gave her the starter but it is still a lot of work to make it. I hope she enjoys it may I just rather make mom‘s buns that only takes about 2 1/2 hours and quite honestly only about 15 minutes prep time. The rest is just letting it rise and cook.

Laura Jean does make delicious sourdough bread but I certainly am not taking up that habit. It is way too much trouble for me.

While Mackenzie was working on the sourdough, I could see Wrenley was having a really good time doing a lot of things.

February will be here before we know it. But the weather won’t be any better than January. I’m afraid by April we might be able to start thinking of a garden. There’s hope on the horizon.
