Sure feels good

 I have finished with the floor in the living room and what used to be part of the kitchen.  I’ll admit it is not a professional job but I am so proud I was able to do it as good as I did. I have all of the Tim back down and I bought a piece of oak for the doorway into the kitchen. I am going to varnish it in a little while but I am going to ask Greg or Jr to put it down for me. 

I have all of the tools I borrowed returned to the neighbors.   I have put back some of the furniture. I ordered an area rug that was supposed to be here today but was delayed till Monday. That’s ok with me. 

I am enjoying putting a few things up at a time. I vacuumed and steam moped today and it feels so clean. I’ll bet Daddy would be proud to see the wood again and remember laying it on the floor. He did a wonderful job. 

I have the kitchen all cleaned again. For several days I slept in there on a mattress on the floor. It really was not as bad as you might think. I loved getting ice water without getting out of bed.  There was no room to cook so Fleta fed me for three days. That was a plus.  No one came to visit cause they knew I would put them to work. Fleta just dropped the food and ran.I cleaned up the front porch yesterday it’s amazing how things get so cluttered with wood and tools when I am working on a project.

I took the window air conditioner out of the window today. It is now sitting on the front porch on the dollie. I took Robert and Hannah to the ballgame tonight so I will ask Robert to help me put it in the shed tomorrow.  I always have a plan. 

The weather is beautiful. I hope it stays this way for awhile or gets hot again. I never look forward to winter. 

Tomorrow I am sleeping in and then I’m going to put more stuff away. I think this ole house looks better than it has in years. Wish my brother could see the floor.
