A little of this -n- that: Cold again...

Not to awfu bad and the sun is shining today and that's a good thing.

I cut up a sack of hog fat Tuesday and put it in 2 crock post to cook overnight. That is a good way to make lard. Yesterday I strained it through a tea towel and had a large cool whip container full and a Quart ice cream container plus enough to make 2 batches of soap. A batch fills a Velveeta box using the lid and bottom of the container plumb full. It is a great soap form it is just the right size. Rhea wanted some made with lemon grass oil. It smells really good. Then I made me a batch using my perfume bath oil. I have made it before but I am using my last bar. Fleta made soap years ago. She thought is was a lot of trouble for nothing. She gave me her scale and her stick blender. The stick blender is important to make the soap to the right texture. Fleta bought the stick blender at a Goodwill or some second hand place. Well she needs to find another one because hers tore up. She really needs to keep her eye out for another cheap used one. She will need this before I make another batch of soap.

The pup is doing good about not peeing in her pen. It appears she just about has me trained when to let her out. She is a pretty little dog. She is marked pretty.

I have been cleaning up my cerements that I have scattered all over my kitchen table for months. I am putting them away for a few months. Once spring is here I will better things to do to busy myself.. I certainly hope I can grow some good tomatoes this year.

Gilbert and Willis took a vacation day today to help Kelly because he is getting 2 houses of turkeys today. Nancy Anderson will pay them today and that helps Gilbert. Two housed of turkeys is really a bunch. Gilbert said it will be about 9 trucks.

I have spent the last 30 minutes trying to down load pics from my phone...Finally I just said forget it.

Tomorrow I take my hot spot back to the library. I have enjoyed it and will get it again.
