It's not spring yet!

It snowed last night...Just a little. The ground was covered when I got up at 4. It was drizzling rain by then. Fleta went on by the house at 5 going on to work. After all why take a day off when the weather is like this...The school bus ran but it was a little late. It is 37 outside right now. It was 34 at 4 this morning.

So for anyone that does not know I have acquired a dog.... I like that word acquired...

It is a full blooded German Shepard. He is really pretty. He hung around Sisters for 3 days and then came up here. Clayton had an old dog chain and I chained him. He has been here now about 5 days I think. he had not went back home and no one had came looking for him.I have kept him chained or on a lead. That could be why he has not left the place. Not sure.

I have seen him running around for the last year. He usually has a younger dog with him. The younger one is timid and not near the dog this one is. Betty brought me up dog necessitates including a barrel dog house which he has not used as of yet. So far Fleta has provided his dog food...This seems to be a sweet plan have..Last night I chained him in Clayton's car port. Then this morning I lead him around awhile. I even let him in the house for awhile but hooked him so he could not get on the carper.

While ago I took him back outside and fixed a longer chain so he had full run of the carport...He has been changed a lot and is very calm on the chain....Except apparently when he can reach the garage fence and thinks if he keeps gnawing, digging, jumping,  and barking he can get loose. I went back outside and shortened his chain where he is about 2 foot from the front panel and he calmed right down.

I have been cooking pinto beans and ham this morning. Jack, the dog, will be glad to get the bone. I make cornbread and the birds till love the leftovers of that.

I have done quiet a bit since I have been home these few weeks.

I was so glad Betty came up when she did. It would not have been pretty walking today.

Jack was barking the other morning and when I checked on him a coyote was running in the pasture about 10 food from the yard fence. I got the 22 and shot at him down past the new barn. I hit him because I heard it and then he yelped. But he went on up on the hill. Maybe he will die there. I have no idea where I hit him at. I figured the back end but Gilbert said if it was the rear end he would whirl and bite at it and he did not do that.

I am charging up my camera am going to take some pictures later and I will post them
My bathroom counters all clean plus my new shelves..Then I am making a flower bed on the lower side of the front porch. Below Mom's bedroom window. I have dug up jonquils and put some in the swan...I covered them with hay last night Also I just this morning dug up some and put in a container in the old chair. My dog in the shed. Beans and ham I just cooked. Plants I am trying to start...last night I brought them in off the back porch...They are pepper  and tomato seeds...Then the front of the house with just a little snow left and last....an old piece of the new cow barn I scarfed up...Not sure how I am using it yet but I like it...,
