But who knows what it will be in an hour...
Jake is home today he is under the weather. We are held up in my room. Both with computers. The house is pretty clean but I am doing 2 loads of laundry. The load that is in the dryer now has a brown quilt drying. It is one Mama made for me. It is the fan Pattern. She pieced it all by hand. There are a few blocks that are loose and I am going to get a needle and thread and fix them. If not they will just continue to get worse till soon the whole block is torn up.
Last week I hemmed one of Kris's drapes in the dining room. She has a BIG bay window and she made heavy lined drapes. The front material is a heavy linen and the backing is a blanket type material almost like felt, I pulled the drapes closed and sat on the floor and hemmed one just where it touched the floor. This keeps a lot of cold out when the drapes are drawn. But Kris only had 1 curtain lined. The other one is not. I may hem the other side one day soon because it is dragging on the floor and strings are unraveling on it, making it hard to vacuum around. And she may never get a backing attached to it. I am not doing that job.
Also I plan to paint the bathroom, out here in my room, really soon. Darrel is checking on paint today. I need to do the corner seams in the sheet rock. Tape them. I can do it as good as the rest has been done. I think Darrel has tape and plaster in the Garage, Then we can put up towel and TP holders. I sure want to get this done before leave.
I finished Kenzie's shoe holder. It works great and she likes it,
Darrel and I worked all day Saturday in the yard. As I have talked about before he has a tractor that belongs to his friend that had to leave the state, he left the tractor with Darrel and we used it. It is much smaller that the one George has. George would not be pushing trees over with this one. It is to small for almost anything. But it beats using a shovel. Still I am really proud of Georges after using this one.
