Washington Morning...

It is cool here this morning. The thermometer says 27 on the big tree by the porch. I have been out and around.

Darrel bought this tent like thing from Harbor freight I think it was 200. It is plenty large to pull a car into. it is held up by a PCv frame. I am afraid this would collapse on my car if we had ice and snow. maybe I could knock it off before that happened. I intend to buy a metal frame awing thing to park my car under. They are 300 in Harrison. But they are open on all sides. I might also buy one of these to go over the metal one. That might work. I am just not sure yet. Clayton's is really nice but he paid a pretty penny for his. I will check it all out this summer. But I am doing something for my car.
Kris has flowers poking out of the ground. This freeze may kill them
In Kris's  yard she has about a million of these sticks and twigs. Darrel is always wanting the kids to pick them up. I rake them up but I also end up with an even bigger pile of pine needles than sticks...and the pine needles need to just stay on the ground. They have yard waste that is picked up each week. I fill the trash can full of sticks and pine needles every week. They are ALWAYS wet. You are supposed to only put 60 pounds in the trash can for yard wasts. By the time  I fill it with wet pine needles and sticks that I have raked up it probably weighs well over 100 pounds.
This morning I went out to fill the yard trash and realized the ground was frozen....When it is frozen the sticks rake but not the wet frozen pine needles...So I was able to clean a large area of ground today and put the sticks in the bin...Since it was only sticks I could fill it to over flowing. It worked out great. Make note...Rake sticks when the ground is frozen.

here is my burn pile waiting for me....but not today..

The chickens running loose. kris is getting about 3 eggs a day.

In the parking lot by Ace Hwd in Harrison they have single car metal carport thingys that are enclosed on both sides and the back. I don't think they cost much more than the 2 sided ones.

Down here the double carports are only 595. They are not enclosed tho.
