Today I have made dried black eye peas and Mexican cornbread....yummmm Darrel has a really good smoker, A Treger pellet smoker, and he smoke a pork butt Friday night. I cut out the fat and the bone for the peas.
So glad Fleet posted little Red is doing better. Hopefully she will live through the cold spell coming to AR.
It has been nice weather here, not real cold and not raining.
I went to Church last night. Kenzie went with me. Kris and the other kids went this morning. While they have been gone and Darrel is working in the garage I have cleaned house, done 3 loads of laundry, and cooked my peas and cornbread.
Mackenzie and I have been going to exercise. I was hoping they were closed today but they are not. She says we are going at 2 today.
The girl and I went to exercise...Thank goodness she goes back to school Tuesday...I figure just one more day...
I love where my little tin box of a house is setting...And Brother Clayton said he has enough blue tin for my porch...I am so thrilled...Look at Fleets post and just see my view! My son in law bought me a pair of binoculars and he said he is getting me a scope on a tri pod and I can see all over the country with one of those. I was opposed at first now I think I will check on what they cost.
The kids are home tomorrow because it is the end of the quarter...I hope it is not all over the country so Kris can go work.
Mackenzie is going to color my hair. Believe it or not she has done it before and did a pretty good job. She is ready to do it tonight but I am tired. i am having a cup of coffee....maybe i will perk up. Doubtful....
