Today was laundry day...

Greg and Jr use the same community laundry mat as I use. The soap, electric, and water are free. It is really a sweet deal for us. So since those boys always help me out I try to do their laundry. I have been doing this for the past 2 weeks. You know I have said before, laundry is really not much of a chore since it can be done in between any other chore. I also did 1 load of mine today plus I ironed just a little more of my things.

I went up the road and raked my walnuts around and out of the mud. I have decided Frankie was right I think I have only picked up about a bucket full...now that they are hulled...and I want at least a toe sack full...plus Clayton had a 50 lb onion sack so I guess I want  even more than a toe sack full because  I want to fill his onion sack also.

Tomorrow I am heading down to JR's and pick up his walnuts. I hope he has more than we had up here but George does not think so. We will see.

George has graded a water run off the road at the corner by the old cement tank so the spring may soon run into the pond...I am thrilled to see it. I could tell from Yesterdays rain it had washed a little across the road. He works magic with his tractor!

I just had the best time at the family reunion.I think Truman's kids have a really good time when they all get together....But I am sure our clan showing up helped liven up the crowd...And I just want to say right now I think Stella looked great and her apple pie was one of the best I have eaten...And trust me I have eaten more than my share of apple pie. As a matter of fact I was kicking myself for not seeing if there was any left and I would have taken it all home. I know she would have let me...

Daisy and I may start frequenting the bar soon. And I really have no idea why more than one person said they knew who I was when I started talking.

Bob Knight mentioned catching fish out of Daddy's pond. Wouldn't it be something if that happens again before I die..That pond has just all but dried up a year ago...I can not even began to think how many hours we all played on that pond bank.

Winnie Jo was just a joy as always...Thanks again for the Elvis record cover...It was so much nicer than the teeth in the cup Pat received! Glad you made it to the trailer safely....Sooooo glad you came! Sister!

Every one missed Clayton not going to the reunion this year....But just imagine what a good time Richard would of had there telling stories..

Richard said once Donnie was driving and Jimmy was in the front seat. Richard was in the back. Richard said he never had seen anyone drive like Donnie could drive. Well this one trip Donnie was driving really fast. Jimmy kept telling him to slow down but Donnie would not. Finally Jimmy said , "If you don't slow down I am going to kick your wind shield out!" Donnie did not slow down and Jimmy did kick his windshield out! I'll bet the fight was on then....

Richard also told me that Donnie could drive 60 MPH down a highway and swerve in an out between the yellow lines with his front tire. He said he would never touch the yellow line. I guess Richard was hanging way out the rear side window to judge that maneuver. I am not sure. I guess Richard was as close to them as Gilbert is to Pat's boys because he sure had a lot of fun with them.

Virginia Lea was as beautiful as always.  She gets her looks from the Rudd side...And thank goodness, Jimmy, Donny, and Frankie's girls and grand kids did not look like any of them!

Good to see ole Patty enjoyed herself. And I am so glad Betty did not feel the need to bring her famous cake.

I love the reunion too. I will be there next year unless they get wise and don't tell us the date. You know after a few years of cooking for all of us...they might figure out we are just out after Stella's apple pie.

It was good to see you. I am thinking next year you can be here in Oct. again and we can crash the pot luck.
