Chasing Goats..

for the past 2 days. I had given up on little Gray and started watching for buzzards...But ole Bertha once I found out she was gone I found her in 15 minutes...all I had to do was walk on the hill shaking the feed bucked and she called to me.

She was just above the West end of Jr's trailer maybe 30 yards up on the hill. The 2nd kid  had just been born when I found her. I am not so sure that one will make it. She is shunning it a little but maybe it will be fine. I hope so!

When Fleta got home today we walked back down to see Bertha and Fleet looked a little further up on the hill and there stood little gray with a kid...I was so glad.

I have fell 3 times in 2 days walking in the fields looking fir goats. I finally I thought tonight I really need a walking stick and I think that will help. I went over to talk to George about it ad then fell on my porch steps.

I quit taking my antibiotic Sunday maybe that has something to do with it. But I  must figure out a way to get around. Anyway. George is helping me get a hickory stick. He said he knows right where one is.George knows every inch of this place. He really does.

I picked up more walnuts today...Another bucket full on Georges tractor. The last bucket full has all been  hulled and I picked them up today. I only got a 5 gallon bucket full. Now most people would think this is way too much trouble But I cracked one open and I am thinking...Boy I need to work much harder at this...They are soooo good... I am a little banged up from my last fall on the rocks but I hope I can find a good tree tomorrow. The ones at Jr's were really small but I picked them up anyway.
