8 track tapes....well last week while I was cleaning out things I had my old radio that was from the 60's that was a replica of the astronaut helmets. It is an AM -FM radio and has an 8 track tape player. I explained all about the radio and how old and special it was and showed Benjamin all of the 8 track tapes and explained they were very old but it used to be the 'IN' thing. Then I said they made cassette tapes and then CD's..
After a big discussion I gave it to Benjamin. He was so proud.
Today Benjamin has a friend spending the night and they are playing the radio. Then Benjamin showed him the 8 track tapes and he put one in . The friend did not like the music and asked if he had any new ones. Benjamin explained "There are no new ones of these made."

Now it is i pods and even music on the phone. I can use the i phone but Larry knows more about it than I do. We only have one phone and share it since we are both home all day. When we go we can either take the phone. We are among the few that still have a land phone line.
Remember those big discs that looked like records that they had movies on. Now it is all netflix!
I would like to be like Missy and just not even have TV, but family would die, especially that little boy.
