Last Resort!

Today I made a wooden sign and laid against our mail box. It said EGGS 4 SALE! Eggs at Walmart are always at least $2.00 a dozen here and the brown ones are about $4. a dozen.
I took a folding table, an umbrella, (cause it is sprinkling),  a coffee can with a slit in the top of it marked MONEY, A bunch of Wal Mart bags, A basket of about 70 eggs, and  A sign on a piece of cardboard that says' MY Grand kids are selling Farm  Fresh Range eggs...$2.00 a bakers dozen on the honor system...

With any luck we will sell some of these eggs. If not maybe someone really needs them and just takes them.

  We have eggs coming out of our ears! The only egg eater in the family is in Japan.  I have given eggs away to anyone and everyone....The kids have a friend over, I ask, "Do you eat eggs" whither they say yes or no I say take these home to your Mama.... A repair man comes, he leaves with a dozen eggs. I gave a dozen to the mail man last week when I saw him coming I ran inside and grabbed a dozen. Every time we empty a milk jug I cut the top off of it and put 18 eggs in it then tie them in a WalMart sack and tell one of the kids to take them to their teacher. We are out of chicken feed. I do not think we should buy anymore till winter. I told this to Kris she thought I was crazy. She said it is only $18.00 a bag and that is cheaper than dog food...AND MOM THESE ARE THE KIDS PETS!... So we buy more feed and get more eggs. It is a vicious circle.

Today when I woke up I decided I had done to much yesterday because my chest hurt so I was not going to do any work today. I did clean out the chicken pen. Now I am going to make aprons for the rest of the day. Oh Yes, and I did clean the kitchen and straighten up the house a bit. AND did the egg thing...

I think I heard a car door shut. Maybe they are taking all of the eggs..
The chickens are out running free and I am ready to sew.
