Tomorrow at this time The Grand Girl and I will be waiting at the airport. I have to sign in on the net this morning to get our boarding passes...We board at 7:30 and arrive in WA about 10:30
I got Betty's beautiful throw Tuesday but did not post that. Remember I was sick that day...It is beautiful....NOT TO COMPLAIN BUT....it is about 3'X3'...Betty I figure I need 5 more that same size and I will sew them together for my bed....This is like a baby blanket and I am not having any more babies....As mother said...I would complain if I was hung with a new rope....I still do not understand that saying...
I have packing to do today...I have packed all of the Extra stuff to take to Kris but I nor the Girl have packed a stitch of clothing...
I will be taking my lap top. I just love it ...Thank you again Pat, and Fleet....It is just the best....Kris has an IT degree. I am wanting her to fix a few things on it...I am not sure she can but we will see. I could ask Marvin but he is living it up in Hawaii...and Bill can not be bothered. LOL
OK I have started drinking my protein drink again every morning....After my bypass I was supposed to have a drink each morning. I did it for years but the cancer got in the way and I stopped it...I figure I must get back to that because I have not been feeling as good for the past year and I hate feeling bad....And I might just feel bad for years. As Patsy said it is not so easy to die she has been waiting for years. So since there is no sign of cancer, my cholesterol is good, my blood pressure is okay, and I doubt if the bones are going to show any way of dying soon I might as well try to live well. Tomorrow I am going to cooler weather and I will enjoy that for the next 2 months and hopefully there will be some outside manual labor I can do. Kris has planted a garden. But as you all know my thumb is not green. I am better at digging ditches and burning brush.
Now Betty do not get all down about that throw. As you have noticed I have not sent you or your girls an apron yet...But I have packed material to take to Kris's to make them and I am determined to get them done. Keep waiting sisters.
Obama is giving back 5% of his salery...Thank you Mr. Obama. You know I depend on such things as that to live.
The Girl said we have to go to the pool today so I guess we will. you know I can sleep there as well as anywhere...LOL

as I told you often Helen ask google if you want to know something..
to some medievil law, every man had the right to be hanged with a new rope. Cloister and the Hearth by Charles Reade takes place in the 15th century where the new rope law was in effect in a certain village. A problem arose when a woman murdered a man. She was released without punishment because the punishment for murder was hanging by a new rope. She was freed because as a woman she was worth less than a new rope.
A new rope would be a strong rope and the objective of hanging as a punishment was death and not torture. A good strong rope meant that when the weight of the body was released, it would snap the neck instantly. Thus, the expression essentially means you'd be complaining even after you were dead. An old rope would have some give to it and might not produce instant death, but rather a slow, painful, lingering death. Hence the medieval 'right' to a new rope. The condemned wanted to die quickly.
I will use your hints on the cake. No plastic--got it! No teflon--got it. I sure hope it turns out good. I am going to use that recipe that Fleta said clayton used. i do not recall using powder sugar and reg sugar. We did use cake flour...but not powdered sugar...but I plan to follow the recipe. My pan is the old metal one.
Helen, it is to cover your lap..not a gueen bed! That is called a spread.lol
I have put ingrid's up. Takes so long. I am tired.
Helen, do you use powdered sugar in your angel food cake?
No I use 3/4 c sifted several times with the flour plus 3/4 C sugar added slowly while beating egg whites...
and thank you Patsy...
