on Monday...but he is having a party this morning with friends....Me, I am hiding out in my room...That is not very nice of me but Jake will not miss me and Kris has Mac and a friend of hers to help...I think it will only be about 3 little boys ... They all just came out here and told me the party does not start till noon...Kris thought it was 10....she made out the invitations but forgot what she put...so they are all ready for the Pirate party early... good...
Darrel made it to Japan and he called last night on Skype...and all of the kids went CRAZY....just like they did when the 2 called from Hawaii when I was in charge...Kris did not handle it any better than I did. She was getting on to them after the call and said today if he calls they all have to sit in corners...I thought...Welcome to my world...I told her to remember this and not call when she was in Japan...she said she will not call...We will not miss the calling..
I think we got orders from Japan to make sure we get the garden planted this weekend...It is raining of course...this will give a whole new meaning to "muding in potatoes.' I always thought that was stupid that potatoes had to be planted on a certain day rain or shine...or snow... I do not think I will be muding in a garden...But I have cut down some clear water bottles and placed over some of the plants that are all ready out there and planted...I did it 2 days ago...if in a week I can tell a difference between those with bottles over them and the other plants I will try to do them all...I have trash bags full of clear bottles...
We got 5 eggs all ready this morning and just to let everyone know since I turned off the light in the hen house the roosting all day on the porch has stopped...thank goodness... I am going to wash off the porch as soon as I can . Darrel has a power washer...
Also we have chicken poop all over the yard...you can not take a step without getting it on your shoes.....Even though the grass is wet I may run over it with the riding mower just to help with the poop...
Patsy...Kris had tulip's planted in her flower bed....they are spread out about 2 foot between each plant....they grow and flower but stay fallen over...They will not stand up...They have been blooming 3 years...I am not sure if the bulbs are not deep enough or just always beat down by rain...Now the chickens are scratching in them but they have never stood up even before the chickens got to them...She must have at least 50 plants...I told her we need to dig them up and plant them somewhere closer together and where they can get a little wind break like by the fence or around a tree...She also has a lot of daffodils planted in between them and they also fall over....Question is ...When should we dig and replant them....No I have not looked on Google yet...
Kris has been working as a substitute a lot since I have been here...It is not much trouble for me...All I have to do is get the 2 little ones to the bus stop at 8:30 and pick them up at 3:30...Kris is always home before 4...so even if I am not feeling good it is not much trouble to tend to them.Oh yes and I have to pick up Mac from the high school track at 3:40 right after I pick up the little ones.Yesterday we did not have rain till about 3 so I recreated burning all day...It was a nice day..
I have not been feeling bad since I have been up here, My bones have stopped hurting but I do lay around a lot and I am a little tired or lazy one...I really am not sure which at this point. It is cold here but only about 50 so it is not like it is freezing...It is great sleeping weather...I love it cool at nights...
Kris has eggs coming out her ears...I am thinking about putting up an eggs for sale sign..
