Sandra titled it 'Proud Papa'...just by her posting the picture, in my book, puts her miles ahead of the last wife he had....The one that had all of her kids pictures plastered all over the wall and then when Gilbert wanted to show me his kids pictures she said' Oh I put them down here under the dog pictures." and they finally found them all bent and not in frames....You know me, a Powell never forgets.
Kris has an early job today. I will need to get the kids off and pick them up...that's about 30 minutes out of my day...Yesterday I did nothing useful....layed around in my room and rested.
Kenzie had a good time at her track meet....she was in the middle of the pack which I think is just great. I got to get her up and I will add to this post later..
Kristina is President of the PTSO for Lakewood Elementary. May 6th is Teacher appreciation week. Kris asked me last week if I would be willing to go around to the businesses and ask for donations for gifts for the teachers. I told her I would.
I figure Wednesday is probably a good day to hit them up....So I have to get all spiffed up, looking my best because no one wants to give money to someone who looks like they need it.
I went into Kris's room and scrounged up some PTSO books and official looking items. I took a pair of her diamond earrings....I looked for my big ole diamond ring I gave her...I could not find it I imagine it is in the gun safe. I did bring one nice outfit of clothes and a great jacket. I found a pair of her boots that are stylish and we do have about the same size foot. So I guess I need to hop in the shower and get ready..
I have not put on make up in a week...The grand kids will wonder what is up when they see me after school.
Kris is at work today...she and I both will be surprised if I con anyone out of a donation but at least I will give it my best southern shot of bull. This school district is so poor the parents can not really afford to donate much. There are 21 teachers at this school...We will see...
Yes Betty Gilbert does look old...If he shaved that gray off his face it would help. I am just a lot crazyier over my Grand kids than he seems to be...I guess that is because mine are sooooo GREAT!..lol

Larry thinks being Grandfather is the best thing in the world. Hope Gilbert gets to enjoy this grandson.

Gilbert's spouse is a nurse. Hope his life is simpler and happier.
Wasn't going to say it but will. He looks OLD. Well, he is and that makes you and I even older.
