I have this great laptop that Patsy gave to Fleet and Fleet gave to me. I have enjoyed it so much, It is really a nice laptop. Early last month, for the first time ever, it started giving me problems. Patsy had Norton security on this machine. I have never purchased Norton. I have always thought it was expensive when I could get AVG for free. So when this problem started the Norton security would pop up and it was stating all sorts of things were wrong. I just kept closing it down.
Then about 3 weeks ago I could not get on the net. My wireless would not work. The computer was showing my wireless was not connected. I hit the FN key and then the F8 key and hooked back up my wireless. This continued on for several days. Then 2 days ago when my wireless was not connected again I hit the FN key and low and behold it did not offer me an F8 key option...It was like my computer did not have wireless option. Now I was in trouble...But good ole Norton kept popping up and I kept closing it down ...
Yesterday I went to my friends house that I had given a wireless plug thingy to so she could use my old, old computer and use my Internet when I lived next door to her. Well, when I moved from my apartment she did not hook up Internet and had no use for my wireless plug in I had given her. Besides she is out of town and I have a key to her place so I just went into her apartment and just took the wireless pluggy thing.
So this morning, since I always have more sense in the mornings than the rest of the day, I decided to try to fix my computer. First I plugged in the wireless thingy and low and behold I was able to get on the net. Thank goodness! What good is a computer without Internet, But there was still that Norton problem... It kept popping up and saying it needed to update. Well after all of these problems I decided I would let it go through the paces and I would just bite the bullet and pay for it. Since all of the info was still on this computer that Pat had registered under I knew it would be fairly fast and the only thing that would hurt was the 50 bucks I would have to pay to use Norton for another year.
I was kind of hoping that once I got Norton straightened away my either net card would kick back in and that was worth 50 bucks to me.
So I clicked on the connect site and after several other clicks it took me to the update page. This is where I knew I would have to enter credit card info....But no it said, "Thank you Patsy, Your down load has started." Well it down loaded and scanned my computer. it fixed some problems and it even fixed the wireless problem for me...
When it completely finished it said, 'Patsy, Thank you for using Norton security. You are able to download Norton on any of your 3 computers. You have 1 computer left that you can update. You now have 340 days of Norton coverage.' So I guess Good ole Pat bought Norton again about 25 days ago. Glad I procrastinated on going to the Norton site to update....
Also..... I now have one copy of Norton that can be installed on your computer if you do not mind changing a name on your computer...Discounted price of price of $30.00....Please send $30 dollars to me and I will return all of Patsy's Norton information to you so you can install it to your computer. Thank you, Patsy!
