Saturday...

Is this a first...none of my sisters posted today..

Ever since Missy has lived in this house she has not had hot water in the kitchen. It would get warm but not hot. Since I have been living here I boil several pans of water and throw into the dish washer to get the water hot enough to get the dishes clean. She also had a 'thing' on the outside of her house that leaked water. I was not sure what it was but come to find out it was a very old water softener. well she got a plumber over here today and he cut the pipes, pulled the water softener out of the ground and re ran the pipes into the house. Walla...we have hot water in the kitchen. I think that water softener was mixing the cold water into the hot water all of the time. It is so great now.

I have been hoping Hannah got to come home today but I have not heard for sure.

Missy colored my hair today. It was very gray. I think I am feeling a little better. Maybe I have had something for a while now. I am also clear headed today. It is quiet nice to be able to think clearly.

Every year Missy does several Christmas Angels and often adopts a family. This year since she is supporting me her money is tighter. I told her I thought instead of adopting a family or doing several Christmas Angels we should donate more food to Little Benjamin's food drive at school. They are collecting food and the boxes are almost all empty. So we cleaned out the pantry and have a table full of food piled up to take to his school, Monday. I will have to use Missy's car to haul it because it will not all fit into my car. You know I have always had such a soft spot for the kids who do not have gifts at Christmas but this year there are so many people that do not even have food. The school Benjamin goes to is one of the most affluent in Gilbert and if they are not getting food donations I know none of the other schools are either.

Bill works with an older man ... maybe he is 50 years old or so. Friday I called Bill and he was at the bike shop getting parts to fix up his old road bike.Come to find out this older man that works where Bill works is now taking care of his parents who are sick and have a lot of medical bills. The man needs a second car and can not afford it so he has been riding an old bike to work, almost 30 miles. So Bill got out his old road bike, which was a really good one in it's day and he went to the bike store he used to frequent and was picking up parts to fix his bike up to give to this man so he could get to work easier.

When Missy and I went to Wal Mart today she did pick up things to do 2 Christmas Angels. She is doing 1 that is Benjamin' s age and then she is getting things for one that is the same age as Benjamin's teachers child and she will give Benjamin's teacher the Salvation Army donation slip along with the Angel and card explaining what she got for the baby and donated in the teacher's name so the teacher can take the tax donation. Missy also got his teacher a generous visa card and I will bake a basket of goodies...You know how we suck up to those teachers..
