A holiday for all of the working people. I am glad Fleta and Betty get an extra day off. I am sure they need it...It is heck getting old.
Fleta said she is going to sleep in my bedroom while she is fixing hers. It is good to know I have one there, I always make an impression. I am sure those kids of hers have slept in that back room more than me but let me stay somewhere just a night or two and I do tend to take over.
And by the way Betty....I am not even sure Brown is a real color. You need to pick another favorite one.....And Fleta was just being nice saying it was 'country cottage'....The best part was all of those pictures of the Grand kids... Oh do you think maybe you like brown because it does not show dirt...LOL
The mornings are getting cool enough I can sit outside and enjoy my coffee. I will be doing that at Missy's all next week. I would do it here but since Mike fired the yard guy the yard looks pretty sad. Actually it looks like an abandoned home. But as everyone that knows me should know I am not attached to houses. They are just sticks and bricks to me and only worth the amount of money you can sell one for. So don't be sad mine looks so bad. I am not at all.
Mike is going to see Kris and the Grand Kids next week. Friday, his plane leaves about 8 PM. They will all be glad to see him. It would be very nice if he had a really good time, which he should since half of his Grand kids are there and one of his 3 kids. That's a large part of his Family. It is cool there and should be a relief from the 110 here but he has looked at the weather and commented, many times, it is supposed to rain every day.
I would like that because then all of the kids would have to stay in the house and I would have a captive audience. We could talk till the cows come home. When it is pretty weather they want to get out and run off. It is hard to talk to them when they are playing and running at the park.
But I have lived with mike a long time, 38 plus years and he will not have a lot of fun with them and that is sad. But you know there are some things I just can not fix. No amount of talking or trying to explain to him what a gift his kids and Grand kids really are seems to make any difference. We are all a product of our raising. So I want to say it is not his fault since ALL of his family is just the same way because they were raised by parents just like Mike. But on the other hand he is 62 years old and people should try to look at their past, see what is wrong and try to change it. But when you do not see anything wrong you can not change.
Our father raised us close. We are family and nothing is stronger to us than that blood thing. I am glad we all have that.

I raised mine the same--the blood thing is the most important of all things.
