Meet the teacher night.....Tuesday was meet the teacher night...last year Missy took off work and viewed the kinder garden teachers classes with the principal. After much discussion the principal agreed with Missy and stated..."We will count on Benjamin being in Miss Phifers class.' Well at the 11th hour Tuesday morning a new teacher was hired making 4 Kinder garden teachers...In the shuffle Benjamin Lawless got moved to the new teachers class...This was not posted till after 8 AM Tuesday morning and open house was at 5....We were not going to be meeting a different teacher than Mrs Phifer....Missy took off work at 2 and went to the school dressed in her business power suit...Guess what that Principal could not give her 5 minutes till sometime next week...The Principal told her little Secretary gal she did not say Benjamin would have Mrs Phifer....and no matter how much Missy talked , or probably yelled at that point...Ms. Apel did not have 5 minutes to give for anyone, even a phone call...Missy told them she had no choice but to go to the district...The secretary acted like she could have cared less..I imagine she thought well no one was going to be able to get in to see anyone at the district at this late hour the day before school started...
So Missy came by and picked me up and off to the District we went...Mrs, Nicki Blanchard is 2nd in command at the district. She used to be Billy's Principal at VVL for 3 years. We have stayed in close contact over the years. We did get into see her. She made a call to the VVL Principal and even though I told Nicki Mrs Apel might not take her phone call because Missy was told she did not have 5 minutes to speak to anyone...(Nicki told me to to be ugly, Helen.) Well as it turned out Mrs Apel was able to spare at least 5 minutes for Nicky and then also another 10 or so for Missy and Benjamin went to open house to Mrs Phfiers class where he had his name on his desk and his name on the wall with all of the other kids and this was all accomplished by 5:30... Imagine that... Nicki said I will owe her cinnamon rolls for the rest of my life...
So this morning was the 3rd time Benjamin was dropped off at schoolo. I have to walk him through the play ground gates and then around about half of the building. He had no separation anxieties but some kids do. I walk a ways away and observe him playing. Today 2 kids started crying and bolted for the gate. I waylayed them and took them to a teacher. The Principal was at the gate but she was also doing the cross walk and once even tool a small kid to where they needed to go, around the building. This left the gate totally un attended. So I went into the office and informed the secretarys what was going on. I offered my volunteer services to bring a folding chair and sit outside the gate each day to make sure no one escapes. They first of all said there were several people out there but then They looked out the window and sure enough no one was at the gate...They said they would tell the Principal I offered....I am sure I will not get a call to come and sit by the gate....I am also sure Monday morning there Will be an extra person there just to mind the gate.... Well another school year, something to occupy my time...

I tried to call you yesterday afternon cause you had not posted in so long. George said Clayton said he was going to call. Clayton and George are retired buddies now. Anyway, I went up and asked Clayton and he said he had not tried to call. I remember you saying Reah or Reo or whatever he name is was supposed to visit, so this am at work, I looked back thru your posts to find when she was supposed to visit (aug 20). It is a good thing you finally came back alive. I was going to search for dr c and give him a call to check on you. I did a search for dr calspelled his name wrong didnt know it ended with a t thought it was can no t or d. The first hit was him cause it was about dr c the big c dr. I now have his ph # and address in case I need to call him some other time.1432 south dodson rd. One patient says he is an amazing dr.

Helen, needless to say noone called me to see why you had not posted. I am low on the list.
