protests...

Well SB1070 went into effect today...even though it was a watered down version of the original bill...hundreds of protesters were blocking the street outside Sheriff Joe's office. Apparently 11 buses of people came over from southern CA to protest. And to think they were going to Boycott AZ. I hope they bought food and gas while they were here. Hopefully they will stay overnight in one of our local hotels. Sheriff Joe said he did not mind He could put them all in 'Pink Underwear.'

The Sheriff from Pinal County said he opposed Sb1070. He said this will just create so much more work and we don't have room to jail all of them. Last month he was on TV crying because he had a bunch of vigilantes that were patrolling the border with machine guns and he did not want them there but he could not get rid of them. They had rights. I thought at the time if they were in Maricopa County and Sheriff Joe did not want them there they would not be there. If nothing else he would have his Deputies set out there with spy glasses and the first time one of them took a leek in the desert they would be arrested for indecent exposure.

As far as not having room Sheriff Joe has no problem throwing up more barbwire at Tent City.

About 50 people were arrested today in the protest....They better be legals....
