A New Day...

Last Tuesday Arnold Schwarzenegger said he was going to cut 200,000 state workers pay back to minimum wage until a state budget was passed. Friday the State controller, who writes the pay checks, said he refused to cut the workers pay. Arnold did say the workers would receive back pay as soon as a budget was passed. July 15th is the deadline. I guess we will see. You know, my Melissa has always said, ‘Be sure and do not piss off the person who actually writes your checks. Always stay on the good side of that person.’

Here is AZ our new law on Illegal’s is still stirring up a fuss. We now have 7 states suing us. I figure those states are afraid if the Illegal’s leave here they will go to their state. They should be worried because it is quiet a drain on our state.

And Sherriff Joe is in trouble again. Now the Department of Justice is after him and his department. It is all tied to the Illegal Immigration problem and his ICE officers. But as usual Sherriff Joe has all of his facts in a row. He has always said when he arrests an Illegal it is like getting a 'two fer.' meaning they usually have also committed another crime besides just being here Illegal. He said that 20% of his inmates are Illegal’s and out of those 70% of them have committed felony crimes. I’ll bet he has the records to back up those numbers. If he does not now he will have soon. Kind of like Tyson’s reports ran by their staff…Sort of that NYOP attitude.

California did fork over 20 M to Jaycee Dugard in payment for those 18 years she lost of her life. She was being held captive and abused by a man that the State was supposed to be watching. I wonder if those state workers were making minimum wage.
This is kind of a hollow victory from my stand point.

In the lime light of Hollywood is the Mel Gibson rant that was recorded by his girl friend. That was pretty ugly. I think he has a serious abuse problem...well I guess it should be problems, because obviously he has many. Then Lindsay Lohan went back to court and got 90 days jail time. She went to court and had those pretty words written on her nails. Now she is trying to compare her situation to people who have endured torture. Get over it girl. I hear it is easy to get drugs in jail. You may even have an easier time getting drugs in there and there are not many reporters in there I am sure. Then there is quiet a ruckus over James LeBron leaving Cleveland.. All I can say about that is.....Get a grip, people. It is a basketball GAME.

It has always boggled my mind that we the American Public are willing to spend millions to be entertained by Hollywood Actors and Athletes. We have made these celebrities very rich. Yet in our country our teachers and child care providers do not even make a decent living. Something is very wrong with this picture.
Maybe I should take my blood pressure early today....
