A Good Day...

I have been feeling better the past 2 days, more energy. Maybe those iron pills are working..

Good ole Bill bought me a ceiling fan this weekend and installed it for me in my bedroom. It works and looks great and made my room seem cooler. It has a neat remote which I really enjoy. My room has been so dark I could not read in there....for 11 years.. It is so great...Thank you Bill and Kimmie....


Missy and I went to Costco yesterday. I bought pork chops. They are great. I slice them each in half to make them thinner unless I am going to stuff them. Below you can see I made pork chops and rice in the oven. I put a little salsa on my plate. Since Chemo I really like hot foods. I even put pepper flakes in the chicken and rice.

I also picked up cheese at Costco because it is very good cheese and cheap. I will give Missy some since there is always so much you have to buy a block. I think it is 5 lbs. I got some new kitchen towels. I think it had been over 3 years since I had any new ones. The last ones had long since gone by the way side... and you can't beat the salsa at Costco. This tub is less than 5 bucks and tastes the best!

Mike got 2 cantaloupe at wWal Mart Friday on a price match. They were 88 cents each. I doubt if my Sisters know this but Cantaloupe makes your house stink. Even before you cut it open. I always peel it in 2 Wal Mart bags and get it right into the outside trash like a dirty diaper. You have to put it in Tupper Ware also, or the whole frig will stink...

I should have posted earlier today but I have cleaned and cooked all day....Big things like cleaned out cabinets and re moped the floor even though I moped it Friday....It is good to have a little more energy.

Oh yes, Fleta gave me a great tip on Price matching at Wal Mart. She says sometimes she makes them price match not from Harps or Frys or any of the well known grocery stores. She says she sometimes uses, NYOP....Does anyone know where this place is?
