MO Jackpot Winner...

Lottery winners seem to have a great deal of problems. I think the chances of finding an intelligent winner is about the same odds as winning in the first place….After all think about the people you know that play the lottery…That probably stepped on a few toes. I am speaking from experience; after all, Mike plays every week and has for the past 25 years. At $5.00 a week (which I am sure he has always played that much) that means he has spent $6,300. in those 25 years…He would have a stroke if he thought about that! Well, no he would not because he still is playing and still thinking he is going to win.

Remember back in 2006 where the 8 meat packers hit the 385 million jackpot. http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=5228654 I have not heard much about them recently…I hope all of them have used their money wisely and are not back working at the meat plant. They all seemed to have a good head on their shoulders.

But this man from Missouri that claimed his money today will probably not have as much luck. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/36723890/ns/us_news-wonderful_world/?GT1=43001

I would like to think this money would improve his life greatly but when he commented he was not sure if he would quit his $7.25 an hour job that he had worked at for 3 weeks it made me shake my head. For some reason I think he may be back in this same place in a very few years or months from now.

The people on the Today Show were talking about this man and Matt said this was such a good thing because this was the kind of person the lottery was designed to help.. I am such a Doubting Thomas but I do not think this money will help this man...

Lotto player here and no my toes don't hurt. I look at it as just fun entertainment.
Should I be so unlucky as to win, I would tell no one and I would give it all away. It would be nice to be able to help. However, I would hire a housekeeper.
From all reports, it is the dreaming that is fun, not the actual winning which usually destroys lives.
I spend $2.00 a week and find that cheap entertainment.

I have not bought a ticket yet, but I might someday so will not say I will not. I hope he is able to do well with his money. Many find out that the LOVE of money is the root of all evil...not the money itself.
