Closer to home...

My good friends Jeanie and Duane Sanders are in need of Prayers...

Jeanie has been working for a company out of Georgia for a few years and comminuting back and forth to AZ. Well, a few months ago they built a nice home in Georgia and Duane moved out there to be with Jeanie. A little over two weeks ago Duane had a heart attack. He has been in the hospital ever since. It has just been one thing after another. Someone has set up a 'caringblog' for Jeanie. I think it is her secretary. I got this off the blog today. It was posted sometime yesterday.

Duane is sedated and on the respirator to help in his breathing. The pulmanoligist completed a procedure early this morning to clean out his lungs. He indicated no major issues. He has "floppy" tubes in his lungs so it will be hard for him to clear them on his own. They are backing off sedation and lowering setting on the respirator so he should wake up slowly and then begin to wean from intubation. He is also on respitory treatments every 2 hours with a pulsating bed for pressure. He continues to retain fluid and they are going to do dialysis a few days in a row to take that off. Over the past 2 days they removed 16 pounds of fluid. No fever this morning so the antibiotics are working.

Duane has been in bad health for at least 10 years. I know he must be tired. He has Diabetes, now on dialysis, has had a 3 or 4 bypass, he is just not doing well. He is a little younger than Mike.

Jeanie is my Krissie's sister-In-Law but I have known Jeanie 20 years.
