217,500

There are 217,500 people living in the town of Gilbert at the last count, give or take 100. Yesterday I read there are believed to be 200,000 fatalities in Haiti. Only 2 days ago they were saying 100,000. I am sure before it is over there will be more people that have died in Haiti from this Earthquake than the amount of people that live in my town.
I did read a woman was pulled alive from the rubble today, 6 days after the quake. I would not think many more could be found alive. This is a long time without food or water, especially if you are injured.

That puts it into perspective when you realize your entire town could have been wiped out. The survivial stories boggle the mind. The human spirit is amazing. I just hope they don't quit trying to find survivors.
